  1. Lol nope. Why are we scared of using Biggio in the OF now?
  2. A for effort on Gurriel there but damn man hope he’s ok
  3. Yeah Cavan constantly benched in favor of Tapia is baffling. Feel like this would be a good pitcher for him to face too
  4. Yeah its a combination of bad pitch selection (swinging at everything low and away) and missing the mistake pitches (fastball down the middle). He’s just not locked in like he was last year
  5. September 7th Vladdy - 1 Point - Springer - 1 Point - Bichette - 2 Points - wilko Kirk - 2 Points - Chapman - 2 Points - Stangstag Gurriel Jr - 5 Points - Dylan Bradley - 5 Points - Espinal - 6 Points - JaysAllMighty Tapia - 8 Points - Omar Off the bench: 10 Points-
  6. Judge, yes. Remember Cohen going hard after Springer and they missed out. He will want to stick it to the Yankees and show off. Im betting Judge gets his mega deal with the Mets. Arte Moreno might be dumb enough to outbid them if Judge doesn’t feel like staying in NY.
  7. Not even bad numbers, just nowhere near usual Soto numbers. Hader has been a dumpster fire for them
  8. Yeah you get the extra player for the doubleheader, so I guess he’ll start one of those games. Good roster management here tbh
  9. I would guess it was extra insurance for CF in case Springer wasn’t able to CF as much. Probably they were thinking about a Merrifield/Tapia platoon if needed. Also he’s cheap next year and there’s a decent chance he bounces back with the bat and is a good 9th man/bench piece. I don’t think they expected him to be this bad, his underlying metrics were still good at the time of the trade I believe
  10. Good to see the power returning
  11. Yeah that’s some s*** wording. Need to clean this up for next year.
  12. I would argue he blocked the plate before he has the ball though. That was the violation I think. He was literally standing in front of the plate as Rutschman is trying to decide where to slide
  13. Yeah just missed earlier in the 6th/7th inning. Would have been a completely different game if that one went out and we had the lead there. Ah well, that’s how baseball goes sometimes
  14. I agree they need to be more clear on what is a violation and what isn’t
  15. My dude you need your eyes checked
  16. Yup we literally have more hits than the Os tonight but 4 less runs. And they dont even have any homeruns I think?
  17. Kirk could have stayed inside the foul line and fielded the ball just fine but he chose not too
  18. The problem is different umpires calling it from the replay room each night, so there will be some inconsistencies. Clearly the Umps have made a point to enforce the “blocking” rule more strictly this season because we’ve seen this several times already
  19. Stop being homers for a second and notice that Kirk starts inside the line, crab walks over the foul line and straddles the plate for a good while, then goes outside the line to catch the ball.
  20. Yeah splitting this 2-2 after the excellent play yesterday would be awful. Need to win tomorrow with Manoah on the bump
  21. Yeah that’s a fair call, Kirk was dancing all over the line and straddling the plate before the throw was even in frame Disappointing game
