    I think the trade will look better next year once Varsho is playing CF, we have a better corner OF, and Kirk is back to his career norms. But in the mean time, people gonna bitch and complain every time Varsho strikes out

    1) Cimber pitched fine in the 10th. Even got the 3rd out but Kirk botched it. 2) Easy to say in hindsight, I don’t think anyone was calling for a pinch runner until we saw how the rest of the inning unfolded. 3) I agree they should have played contact there, but maybe they didn’t because Kirk is notorious for hitting sharp liners. Worst case scenario is they run into a lineout double play with Espinal being doubled up on 3rd.

    I have no problem with the stop sign, just saying Espinal should have read it off the bat better and I wish he ran better. Rivera would have waved him

    Just gotta hope we don’t fall short of the playoffs by a game or two. Seems like every game the past few weeks they’ve failed multiple times to cash a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs. The good hitters too, seems to always be Springer/Bo/Vlad involved in these situations. Also Espinal runs like he’s 40. He should have been able to score on Springer’s double in the 9th. And then again on that Kirk liner.

    Kirk still has to try and lift the ball more in that situation. But yeah if Castro doesn’t make an excellent play, and Espinal knew how to run the bases, that’s a game-winner.

    This team really needs to work on scoring runners from 3rd, its f***ing embarrassing at this point. Gotta change your hitting approach in those situations

    No, worst case is the liner is caught and Espy is doubled up on 3rd. I think he just didn’t read it well off the bat, like he didn’t read Springer’s hit well

    I feel like he could’ve scored on Kirk’s lineout there too. Espy just isn’t a good base runner and it might cost us the game
