    Im with you on the idea of making the roster younger and not signing any 30s guys to long contracts. but we don’t need to be trading guys like Bo/Gausman etc right now. Give it another year at least.

    Yup I was at that final game with the Donaldson walk-off. Those few weeks in September/October were the most exciting time to be a Jays fan that I can ever remember (im not old enough to remember the WS wins) I just want to feel that again

    Im pointing to the coaching staff which has remained 95% the same. Obviously the players are mostly to blame, but we know they’re capable.

    I agree. Been on vacation away from Toronto most of the summer, heading back in a few days. Not exactly excited to spend the hour commute downtown to watch this team right now…. Thought i’d be pumped to go see them. I’ll still go see a couple games because I can’t control myself but im sure i’ll be ripping my hair out.

    Im sure we’ll discover in a few years that half the coaching staff was smoking weed in the office 20 minutes before gametime, that Vlad would show up an hour late to every game, that Springer and Kirk were playing through injuries for most of the season, that Manoah had Mono all year… yadayadayada

    It’s definitely getting dicey. That 4 game series against Texas will be HUGE. If they can’t do damage there (3-1 or a sweep) I think the playoffs are a lost cause. 12 games against NY and Tampa to end the year.

    Fax. Its like we saw the Guardians bunting a bunch and John had the itch to 1-up them

    Its like management won’t give any guys outside the top 100 prospect a fair shot

    When we actually DID play our youngsters on fire, it worked out extremely well in Manoah and Kirk (at the time). Not sure why management has changed philosophy the last couple years.

    Maybe, but we already got rid of some of the “problem guys” with Teo and Lourdes. Springer is a pro, multiple WS games played including a ring, he should know how to execute a damn sac fly. Plus guys like Belt and Chapman have playoff experience. They shouldn’t be failing this often.

    What’s the etiquette for lineup setting once you miss the playoffs?? Should I still bother? Does it matter for anyone?

    Winnable game pissed away for what seems like the 30th time this year. They add up. This team has major issues executing. Feels like we have the same problems with fundamentals that were there with Charlie in charge.

    Seattle and Texas have 4 games against each other to end off the season. We’ll all likely be watching those very closely.

    Mariners have 7 games against Texas, 3 against Houston and 4 against Tampa Texas has 3 against Houston, 4 against Jays, 7 against Seattle, 3 against Boston Houston has 3 against Boston, 3 against Texas, 3 against Seattle, 3 against Baltimore Jays have 3 against Boston, 4 against Texas, 6 against Tampa Still lots of scenarios that could shake out
