  1. I’d rather just play one of the rooks lol
  2. Im pointing to the coaching staff which has remained 95% the same. Obviously the players are mostly to blame, but we know they’re capable.
  3. I agree. Been on vacation away from Toronto most of the summer, heading back in a few days. Not exactly excited to spend the hour commute downtown to watch this team right now…. Thought i’d be pumped to go see them. I’ll still go see a couple games because I can’t control myself but im sure i’ll be ripping my hair out.
  4. Teo walks off the Jays in wildcard game 3 in Seattle. I would die
  5. Im sure we’ll discover in a few years that half the coaching staff was smoking weed in the office 20 minutes before gametime, that Vlad would show up an hour late to every game, that Springer and Kirk were playing through injuries for most of the season, that Manoah had Mono all year… yadayadayada
  6. It’s definitely getting dicey. That 4 game series against Texas will be HUGE. If they can’t do damage there (3-1 or a sweep) I think the playoffs are a lost cause. 12 games against NY and Tampa to end the year.
  7. Fax. Its like we saw the Guardians bunting a bunch and John had the itch to 1-up them
  8. Its like management won’t give any guys outside the top 100 prospect a fair shot
  9. When we actually DID play our youngsters on fire, it worked out extremely well in Manoah and Kirk (at the time). Not sure why management has changed philosophy the last couple years.
  10. Maybe, but we already got rid of some of the “problem guys” with Teo and Lourdes. Springer is a pro, multiple WS games played including a ring, he should know how to execute a damn sac fly. Plus guys like Belt and Chapman have playoff experience. They shouldn’t be failing this often.
  11. What’s the etiquette for lineup setting once you miss the playoffs?? Should I still bother? Does it matter for anyone?
  12. Winnable game pissed away for what seems like the 30th time this year. They add up. This team has major issues executing. Feels like we have the same problems with fundamentals that were there with Charlie in charge.
  13. Seattle and Texas have 4 games against each other to end off the season. We’ll all likely be watching those very closely.
  14. Mariners have 7 games against Texas, 3 against Houston and 4 against Tampa Texas has 3 against Houston, 4 against Jays, 7 against Seattle, 3 against Boston Houston has 3 against Boston, 3 against Texas, 3 against Seattle, 3 against Baltimore Jays have 3 against Boston, 4 against Texas, 6 against Tampa Still lots of scenarios that could shake out
  15. Is this the same for BBDL? Got my teams mixed up
  16. Schneider and his noodle arm can’t play 3B tho We’ll let Cavan and his noodle arm play there instead
  17. Tell me everything I need to know about playoff ball
  18. Ugh, guess we’re gonna be forced to see more of that black hole Don Schneider
  19. Justin Turner has played 7 games at 3B this year, about 30 at 1st and the majority of games as DH. Is there a youth potion coming with that contract too? Evan Longoria has played 33 games at 3B this year. Neither guy is a stopgap 3B option. The only decent 3B options in free agency are Chapman and Candelario, both guys are likely to get multi-year deals. 3B will need to be filled internally or via trade IMO.
  20. Probably yeah. Just a perfect storm of s*** today
  21. Who is this 1-year stopgap 3B available in free agency?
  22. The most annoying team in recent memory
  23. At least Texas lost
