    I went to 2 of the last 3 games there against the Os in 2016, they lost both. Team looked absolutely toast. And then when they hung onto a playoff spot…. But against the Os?? Things weren’t looking good. Baseball is weird, anything can happen. All things considered i’d be very happy with a Phillies type end to the season here. Even as bad as watching this season has been.

    It feels similar to the 2016 season near the end. Team was barely holding onto a playoff spot, lost an important series to the Os the last week of the season… then came up clutch against Boston to take the first wildcard spot. And beat the Os in a very tight wildcard game.

    Yeah I see it as Whit/Varsho platoon in LF, Biggio/Espinal platoon at 2B, Schneider DH/2B. Bo and Chapman will need the occasional day off so you can start Biggio or Espy there some days.

    Also, anyone wanting to re-sign Belt are out of their f***ing minds. Dude’s body will not hold up at all going forward. I would be cautious about KK too. We should be happy with what we got out of both guys and send them packing with a handshake.

    s*** never thought about that… possibly true. Unless he’s ready for pinch hitting duties in the playoffs. Some big bats going down for us down the stretch here… not ideal.
