  1. Yeah this is starting to sound like Pearson 2.0
  2. Doubt that. Unless there’s injuries involved
  3. Sure, but my argument is that guys like Urshela and Rosario probably give you 2 WAR for less than 1/4 of the cost. Plus an extra guaranteed year
  4. Ross got major tunnel vision on the whole run prevention thing after 2022, to the detriment of everything else. The only puzzling thing is that we still have Vlad and Bo as everyday players when they are definitely the weakest defenders on the roster. Could’ve traded Bo and Vlad for a haul and replaced them with Tim Anderson and Cody Bellinger + money to add elsewhere
  5. The only way it’s defensible is if IKF somehow puts up a 3 WAR season. But that’s an extreme long shot
  6. Yeah I agree. I think its gonna take him hitting free agency and realizing nobody will give him the huge contract he’s looking for before he finally circles back to the Jays
  7. I don’t think he’s willing to sign for anything less than 300 million, which is why he hasn’t signed an extension already.
  8. Money hungry demons
  9. Jeez
  10. Those pants look paper-thin. Expecting a bunch of ripped asses during spring training
  11. Probably just play it year by year and see if he can do it 2 seasons in a row. How much would you even save by signing him after 2024 vs when he’s a free agent after 2025? Probably not enough to make the risk worth it, See if he can string together 2 elite seasons before signing him to an elite player contract,
  12. It was a 3-game series lol. Dumbass
  13. Rosario even if we had to overpay to like 2.5m is way better than IKF for 7.5m. Stuck with IKF for 2 years too. I really don’t understand that move.
  14. Im so over Nate Pearson. Dude is a bust and nothing to get excited about at all. His new “splitter” likely gets hammered into the seats no less than 5 times this spring
  15. A lot of smoke? from what I read, they have a standing offer out for him but haven't had much communication over the past few weeks. And yeah Rodon won't stay healthy
  16. Yeah just wait til we see the replica/cheaper versions in stores lol. Looking like 0 reasons to not just buy ripoff jerseys when they're the same quality now
  17. Looks like Ryu is going back home
  18. https://www.mlb.com/glossary/rules/rookie-eligibility# He was on the active roster over 45 days therefore he doesn’t qualify for rookie status
  19. I don’t think its true that he has rookie status. He’s under the PA allowance but he was on the 26-man roster for too many days
  20. He does not look anything close to 240
  21. Let’s not pretend the fact that he’s a massive f***ing douchebag has nothing to do with him being unsigned either
  22. That’s the Randall Grichuk special
  23. Definitely a weird offseason. I don’t think guys like Chapman and Bellinger will get the huge deals they’re looking for. Even Candelario’s deal was light.
  24. Plenty of teams “dumpster dive” like this during spring. Off the top of my head, the Yankees and Braves do a lot of it. AA loves his washed up vets
