  1. AAAA fodder for the game's next best relief pitcher you mean?
  2. Drafted him in both leagues hehehe
  3. Also with his new oppo approach… could be a disaster
  4. Yep that’s a good point. The home sample is actually smaller than the road sample too.
  5. I agree. Same for Teo and LGJ. Those teams clearly think they are better players than what the public projections show.
  6. Its just an excuse to make himself feel better. He can’t come to grips with the reality that he f***ed up his walk year with an abysmal 4 months to end the season. So he blames it on something out of his control. We’ll see if the park suppresses homeruns as much in 2024, because what he’s saying does have some truth to it. Hard to tell if its a statistical anomaly or not.
  7. People probably working?? Whatev its only early ST games haha
  8. Nice 2-out base hits. Need to see that during the season more often
  9. Isn't it Yariel Rodriguez? + Manoah and now Gaus
  10. Its a 1 year deal though. Versus being locked into 3 years of Bellinger if he’s s*** again
  11. Yeah oof. I feel like those projections on Candelario and Gurriel are light and I guess those front offices agree. We’ll see how those contracts turn out but yeah they could both be bad.
  12. I'm willing to see it it both ways. It could be that he misread the market. Could be that Chapman never wanted to come back. Could even be that they actually like IKF better. The truth is that we don't know. You were being pretty rude to several posters claiming that money wouldn't be an issue. You're acting as if you work in the front office and you KNOW all these things when you're just guessing like the rest of us. What we DO know, because its 100% factual is that Chapman signed for way less than anyone expected. Some people are rightfully pissed off at the fact we couldn't beat that offer.
  13. Would be hilarious if the RC plays like a hitter’s paradise now after the new changes this year haha.
  14. Yeah, like people keep saying “oh the orioles will be better this year because their players have another year of experience” We were saying that with Vlad/Bo a couple years ago and it didn’t turn out that way. Seems like the team has been getting worse each year, not better. Still have no idea if we should expect 2 WAR or 5 WAR from Vladdy. Not sure why everyone here seems to think Springer is finished. That Varsho and Kirk won’t hit again like they did in the past. That the rotation will suddenly fall apart this year.
  15. The coaching staff in this org is a mess
  16. 90 wins. Tied for WC3 but they make it due to better H2H record
  17. That’s what I thought at first, but now im like 90% certain that Turner will start 0 games at 3rd. I think he’s gonna be used strictly as a 1B/DH like Belt was. IKF will sadly be the primary 3B with Biggio as backup.
  18. Yep agree
  19. Espinal?
  20. Or… they mis-timed the market once again. They overpaid early for mediocre players and tied up so much payroll that we had no room left for Chapman at 20 mil.
  21. Honestly glad he rejected that. Over 5 years for Chap was too much. It hurts that we probably could’ve had him for 3/60. But who knows, maybe its Boras/Chapman’s pride and they tried coming back to Toronto asking for the same initial offer. Missing out on both Chapman and Bellinger for 3 year deals is rough.
  22. Pretty funny that the 2 WS teams didn’t even get to the Semis here. Also that 2021 team being in the finals is depressing. Could’ve been a reality…
  23. Agree 100%. I’d rather just watch the rookies play if the alternative is aging/low upside vets like KK/Turner/IKF.
  24. And it happened again in 2022…. Then last year they were too slow to react to the lack of offense (the numbers will turn around surely!) and it looks like they will make the same mistake in 2024. I really hope im wrong and the offense rebounds, but they haven’t hedged their bets at all.
  25. Ummmm nope. Its good, but very top-heavy. The last few guys at the bottom will be ass, and they’re still very injury-prone.
