Pearson f***ing blows and Jansen hasn’t been very good this season, free agent at the end of the year. What exactly where you guys expecting??     Hell of an experiment though. Clearly he’s gassed now, but if they can build his innings more next year then he should be able to hit 160ish for the last 2 years of the deal. His numbers through his first 10 or so starts were great.

    That would be awesome. Soto and Wood anchoring the middle of the order would be fun to watch.

    Yeah Soto is a better hitter than Vlad, can play an OF position, and has a WS ring where he contributed with numerous clutch hits. Vlad has 1 elite season, and a handful of good/ok seasons. With Vlad you’re really buying into the underlying metrics part and hoping he improves/rebounds. With Soto, you know you’re getting an elite player.

    True enough, but if we trade Vlad AND have a bad team you can guarantee attendance will immediately crater. IF you keep Vlad and try to hover 80ish wins most of the casuals don't understand the team is bad until August/September
