This is exactly right. Everybody gets mad once in awhile about really bad calls, errors and so on but its the constant negativity and whining that makes people angry. I recall most recently the game vs the twins where Pillar missed the catch and allowed the runner to reach second base. People were saying things like DFA Pillar, hes a f***ing piece of s*** blah blah. Then when he was batting before people were posting crap about how terrible he is, that he was going to strike out, he sucks at life before the at bat was even finished.
There is venting frustration and then there is filling the GDT with pure negativity and contributing nothing of substance. I shouldn't have to ignore half the people posting in the GDT because they are spamming it with crap. If you want to be respected by the other forum users than show some respect to them as well and try and make a positive contribution. Also consider the fact that its a game and in the grand scheme of life not very important. Wishing death on a player for making an error or striking out in a key situation is taking things a bit too far.
