  1. I feel exactly the same way. I've been a huge Jays fan since about 1999-2000 when I was 11 years old. I never got to experience the 92-93 seasons so i'm very excited at the chance of playoffs for the first time in 22 years. That being said i'm an overall huge baseball fan and watch several other NL teams on a regular basis, so seeing the Jays miss the playoffs all these years hasn't been that bad. I understand that people have been waiting for a winner in Toronto for a long time so obviously you will have quite a few people jumping on the bandwagon. What I don't understand is people who are now watching these games but don't even enjoy baseball. Why would you invest time into this team if you don't even enjoy the game? Is a winning team really that important?
  2. Obviously we should always assume this team sucks and never has a shot at a come back. That's the mark of a true baseball fan!
  3. You really think a different manager would be worth a full 4-5 extra wins? Maybe if he went out there and actually pitched himself. Gibbons might not be the best manager in baseball but there is no way he has THAT much influence over win/loss.
  4. We've had quite a few blowout wins this season (7-0, 7-1, 6-1,8-2 etc). When the offense is rolling we can put up big numbers and easily win games, the issue is when the offense doesn't score 4-5+ runs we are losing most of the time. We have a very good offense but our pitching has been garbage so unless that changes the losses will continue to pile up.
  5. Classic Moses troll post
  6. I think as long as this team is playing meaningful games in August and September most people will be pretty happy and even if they don't make the playoffs this year fans will come back if the team is winning in the following years. Think about how angry everyone was with last years team after the high expectations and yet now that the team is winning this year we are seeing a huge increase in viewers.
  7. This actually is a good point. It's just extremely frustrating because these same people are creating so many accounts at once and spamming like crazy. I think it would be a really good idea to put in a wait time or some sort of approval for creating a new account.
  8. This guy is all kinds of crazy. Just think of how many accounts and posts hes made in the past 3 months.
  9. I have no problem with people pointing out us playing poorly, what I have a problem with is assuming a game is over in the 7th inning. Its pretty obvious that this team has been playing like crap lately but that doesn't mean you need to stop hoping we have a chance to win.
  10. Then go away and stop being a piece of garbage. We don't need you here s***ing all over the game day thread.
  11. No it doesn't make sense. Any fan who just assumes the worst and basically gives their team no chance when they are losing is not a fan in my book. I feel like you are actually hoping that we lose so you can just say "Hey look I said we would lose and I was right".
  12. Even if we are down 2-0 how is that the game? Its the top of the 7th holy f*** have some faith.
  13. Only down by one run and still lots of time left in this game. We really need to string some hits to together and put a couple runs up.
  14. I feel like they are the same person because they both post the same garbage in the gamedays non stop. Well at least it's been a good night for the Jays so we have that to be happy about!
  15. Uh what you think nobody would notice you posting an old forum joke. Either way I could care less who you were as long as you follow the forum rules.
  16. I thought the rough patch would have helped clear out the crap from this forum but still so much garbage. Nice to see Dickey having a solid game!
  17. This team has really struggled to score runs lately. It's too bad because our pitching has been giving us chances to win games.
  18. Probably the best game of the year. What a comeback and team effort!
  19. Even with the recent losses this team is still in a good position to have a shot at the division. Pitching has been good and the bats will heat up again,we just need to keep the faith and believe in this team. It's been a fun year so far and I hope to keep seeing meaningful games throughout the summer. Go Jays!
  20. Would it still be considered as a perfect game with the error? Ah nevermind I see that they consider it as a no hitter. Kind of crappy considering he still hasn't given up a hit or a walk.
  21. I seem to remember at one point that Juiced got called out for making alt troll accounts on the old forum. I must say I didn't expect that he would be the one to create a new board but he's done a really awesome job.
  22. I think it might be a bit of both since i'm fairly positive he has several accounts on the old board and talks to himself. What I don't understand is why they feel the need to come here to harass people. I must say I've been reading these boards and the old ones for about 7 years and I still laugh at how angry you make these guys.
  23. I am convinced that Sempai has a serious mental illness. He thinks Rajai Davis has been one of the best hitters in the league this year.
