It's a foregone conclusion that Chen will walk, I think. With Boras as his client, he should be able to get a nice 3 or 4 year deal with an NL team. If I'm the Orioles, I'm running him into the ground and getting every last inning out of him.

I just assumed that the Orioles decision to demote Wei-Yin Chen (temporarily) to Hi-A in order to prevent him from facing the Jays (who, obviously, crush LHP) was considered and discussed by all parties. Apparently, not so: Agent Scott Boras calls decision 2 demote Chen: "Grossly irregular. I’ve never seen anything like this ... in my 30 years of doing this” http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/wei-yin-chen-is-not-happy-about-his-demotion-and-he-may-have-a-point-005152575.html Even more oddly, Chen is a FA after the season, so the Orioles have nothing to gain by sheltering his ERA.

Yeah, how do you get in a fight with KK? He's like the sweetest guy in the league; never says a bad word about anybody. NJH and myself are *******s so it's pretty easy to get into a disagreement with us.

s***-talking and reminding people about times they were hilariously wrong on players is part of the competitive spirit of this league, I enjoy it. I probably get as much grief as anybody these days.

If everybody left this league because we had a disagreement with one other owner, we would have folded in season 1. The best revenge is kicking their ass H2H.

Sometimes it's hard to tell if spanky is kidding or serious... and/or drunk. We haven't lost an owner yet and I'd like that continue if possible.

It's incumbent on each of us to follow the draft and know when our windows are approaching. Getting an email from the previous drafter is a courtesy, not a privilege or guarantee.

I would submit that a .320 wOBA isn't actually bad at all for a 22 year old shortstop. He wasn't an instant star but there's still plenty of time.
