I just assumed that the Orioles decision to demote Wei-Yin Chen (temporarily) to Hi-A in order to prevent him from facing the Jays (who, obviously, crush LHP) was considered and discussed by all parties. Apparently, not so:

Even more oddly, Chen is a FA after the season, so the Orioles have nothing to gain by sheltering his ERA.
