  1. BORED getting lapped by BBDL
  2. MLB.com put a 35 grade on it, even hoping for an average runner is probably too optimistic.
  3. Hey, I never said he was a chubby plodder. I think he is one, but I didn't say that.
  4. SB in the low minors are basically meaningless. Defense is so bad that pretty much anybody can steal.
  5. Pujols has also really turned his season around the last month. At least he's still an above average *hitter*, which wasn't certain in May. Hilariously bad contract though, the worst in baseball.
  6. I don't really feel that bad for Pujols because (1) he's a slam dunk HOFer anyway (2) he's exceptionally rich (3) he's won his WS and MVPs and batting titles and (4) I'm still pretty sure he was lying about his age this whole time and is actually 40. My 66 year old dad literally runs much faster than him.
  7. So then why even debut him in rookie ball? The Sox are out of it, and one rookie middle reliever isn't going to turn the ship around.
  8. jfc... the White Sox have already rushed him to AA? White Sox Scout: Hey boss, just wanted to file my daily report and let you know that Burdi had a solid debut in rookie ball tonight, pitching a clean inning with one punchout. Kenny Williams: I've seen enough, promote this young man to High-A immediately! *10 days later* Scout: Hey Ken, just checking in. Burdi has been holding his own since the promo, he's got 4 Ks in 5 IP but he's allowed 1 home run, all in all I'd say he's been pre-- Kenny Williams: Silence! Get him on the next plane to Birmingham!
  9. That would be a dream scenario, Troy Glaus was a f***ing badass.
  10. Vlad actually had a pretty decent walk rate for his career. His swing rate was high, but he wasn't averse to taking walks.
  11. You can't draft anyone who signs after the draft has begun, this is common knowledge. At least one of you two boozehounds knows wtf he's doing.
  12. Hhahaha Spanky with the unilateral draft pick, I love it.
  13. I take it to mean that the pitchers are already so scared of his aggression and power that they're not throwing pitches anywhere near the strike zone. Nice to know he will actually lay off the shitballs, tho.
  14. From BP: Vladimir Guerrero, 3B, Toronto Blue Jays (Short-Season Bluefield): 1-2, 3 BB, 2 SB, K. Adam McInturff put his eyes on Guerrero recently, and will have more in-depth notes forthcoming. But given the ultra-aggressive approach, Appy League pitchers are clearly terrified of this guy, as he’s now ended almost as many plate appearances with a walk as he has with a whiff. There’s titillating raw power potential here, along with a to-be-continued decision on whether to deploy his howitzer of an arm at the hot corner or in right field.
  15. Surely Boxy's window has expired by now, correct?
  16. Also, change Junior "Hernandez" to Junion Fernandez. I feel like I would have been within my rights to draft him, considering no one noticed this error.
  17. Interesting... I'd trade all my picks for 5 years to get one Trout or Sale.
  18. Now I want to kick you out for mixing then and than.
  19. I don't know about better, but certainly more successful.
  20. FS is a legitimate owner. We've had many trade negotiations and pulled off several deals. I'm very perplexed at his draft choices, but I have no doubt that he's making them in earnest.
  21. Lol f*** that, let him sink or swim on his own. He'll learn what works and what doesn't.
  22. Dumb-dumb, tool, jerk, loser, ne'er-do-well, buffoon, etc
