  1. Alex Reyes might make sense as the top 5 guy
  2. I love Devers. Torres I'd maybe flip but not right away. Need a SsOTF.
  3. I don't even like Quintana. Someone else can pay elite prospects for his 4 xFIP.
  4. Yeah the only way that happens is if Miggy and Sale both get hurt. I'm still a playoff team easily, IMO.
  5. LOL WISDOM TEETH. This kid is like 17.
  6. If I'm floating around .500 at the all-star break, there will be a Sale auction, and it will be spectacular.
  7. I'll take him as the 3rd piece in our Chris Sale trade.
  8. Nope, crowdsourced opinion was overwhelmingly in your favour. I'm pretty interested to see what Capps does. Stock up a few more elite prospects and I'll trade you Miller & Betances later just to piss them off again.
  9. To some extent that was his fault, he decided to become a dead pull hitter. It worked out really really well and then it stopped working.
  10. I could actually see that happening when Thor goes down with TJS.
  11. Even Mark Buehrle broke down eventually.
  12. Yeah, it's a lot of innings. Look how quickly Felix Hernandez went from Top 5 ace to (in many people's opinions) replacement level. Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, James Shields. You can have a reliable workhorse ace with a strong track record of health, but when you get up over 2000 IP, s*** can go south very quickly. Also, as silvergun pointed out in our negotiations... no more Papi Ross!
  13. Well I wouldn't have done it straight up anyway, but I too was surprised, considering he has Seager already. A chance to steal an ace from your biggest division rival for a prospect you don't need, that's something I wouldn't pass up.
  14. I think we'll both make the playoffs and then everyone will get fisted by sg. So basically, what already happened the last two seasons.
  15. I love him too, but he was pretty lucky on LOB and BABIP last year. If I waited another year, with age and regression, I wouldn't get anything close to Torres + Devers for him. Maybe. Or maybe he'll just be a boss into his late 30s!
  16. I don't remember Bush being shopped. I have to think, bare minimum, somebody would have given a 2nd round pick for him. Somebody probably would have given a late 1st.
  17. Hmmm... I disagree, and I own him. There were a couple shaky patches last season where they discussed considering other options at closer, and that was during a time when Bush was completely lights out. Now there's no Diekman to compete with either, so holds will be more plentiful and a path to the closer's chair is more clear.
  18. Who the f*** cut him anyway? I wouldn't have cut him and I have the best bullpen in the league.
  19. Biggest trape/headscratcher was Correa by far IMO. I think most of those trades are very sensible from contention cycle perspectives.
  20. You wouldn't even give me Senzel for Lester! And silvergun gave me two better prospects than Senzel
  21. In all honesty I expect him to take Dyson's job if there's any slippage whatsoever.
  22. Yeah well I think we all agree on that, otherwise silvergun wouldn't have included two Top 10 prospects in addition to him. I don't think there's any question that this trade is leveraged toward SG in the 1-2 year outlook, that's all baked in to the negotiation. I look more at Dahl's AA numbers this year than his MLB numbers, and I see more walk and power potential than he even flashed in his debut. You might all be shocked if he goes 20/20 with an .800 OPS and 100 R this year, but I won't be. He went 25/22 across three levels last year with an outstanding line, and now he gets the Coors bump. When it comes to Rockies players, I care about the wOBA, not the wRC+. On a per game basis he was 2015 Mookie Betts.
  23. Oh sorry, I was looking at the Google doc that said 11:15 pm, I guess that was when his window started. Carry on.
