  1. Nah, thanks. I'm probably only going to use one pick.
  2. Also, Kingkat receives my MiLB pick 36 as a part of the Reynolds sweepstakes.
  3. Does anybody want Albert Pujols for free? Anyone feeling nostalgic? I will trade him for a mid-to-low round waiver upgrade.
  4. Technically, yes, because the last one got infected by a parasite and gradually replaced itself.
  5. I listed the core pieces on the previous page, it's an aging contender with some still very sexy pieces. With a bit of love and polish, it can contend again next year, or it could be torn down for a juicy rebuild.
  6. P2F and L54 are both good candidates, is there anyone else we need to fire while we have two good candidates?
  7. Let's have a DDL conclave and hold a secret ballot.
  8. It's a good team, too. Core pieces are Donaldson, Marte, Murphy, Grandal, Cueto, Shark, Kimbrel, Harvey (? lol). Robles on the farm. Could be a competitive team with some tweaking, although this season is probably a write-off, so the team is maybe more of a shorter-term re-tool job.
  9. Orgfiller would be a good pick as long as he doesn't come with his girlfriend, King.
  10. I'm cutting Wilkerman Garcia, I think that's his name?
  11. It may sound dumb, but the Jays are probably just going to let Bichette and Vlad do the MWL all-star game before they're promoted. It's a nice reward for the guys and some recognition. I agree that they've earned promotions to Dunedin, but there's still half a season left for that. It's not like they're going to get to AA this year anyway. The All-Star game is June 20, I would expect they'll be promoted within a few days after that. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/2017-midwest-league-star-game-rosters/
  12. I'll trade you prospects for Charles Blackmon.
  13. I can't even talk about this trade any more. It's upsetting.
  14. Yep, thankfully for me this doesn't apply to Corey Seager <3
  15. You drafted him pretty high though, above guys like Jon Lester, Christian Yelich, Ryan Braun, Cargo, Lindor, Cano, Conforto, Myers, Blackmon and Darvish. So that's a bummer. It's risky drafting these 2nd year players in a dynasty drafts and projecting out their early success.
  16. I was never really a fan of Maikel Franco as a prospect, I read a lot of reports that his swing had holes. Now we have 1200 PAs of below average hitting, and even the power is pedestrian. Meh, I can see why you'd cut him.
  17. Mangina was the real steal! He smacked a couple bombs last night
  18. All caps = liar Guys, I changed my mind.
  19. Smoak has upped his contact by nearly 10%, doubled his power, and halved his K rate. And his BABIP is completely normal! He just suddenly became a really good hitter, and it makes no sense. Obviously he can't stay this good, but there's nothing that screams regression in his profile right now except for a clearly unsustainable .306 ISO.
  20. Got any stats to back this up? She might be a liar, she might not, but it's f***ed up that you jump to victim-denying immediately. You seem to have a very negative opinion of women and the dialogue you're engaging in actively keeps victimized women from coming forward.
  21. It's unenforceable though, as you know. So someone could just take your picks and renege!
  22. Just a reminder that you can't trade future picks and that next-year draft picks are not generated until after the current-year draft is complete.
  23. Granted, his WAR could still go down later on, but assuming Smoak's current WAR either holds ROS or improves, he's already paid off his contract (not including the option year). Going rate for WAR these days is around $10M per, so he's at $13M value this year already and his two guaranteed years are $8.2M total.
  24. From BP today: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 3B, Toronto Blue Jays (Low-A Lansing) Thick, powerful lower half, mature frame with only slight projection left for growth; swing features a mild load and minimal leg kick, possesses plus bat speed with mild leverage, plus bat control, stays balanced, advanced approach at the plate, not often fooled, recognizes secondary pitches well; strong, raw power to all fields; Average speed, 4.32 average on four home to first clocks; 50-grade arm, accurate; lacks range at third base, hands can be slightly stiff, will probably necessitate a move to first base or left field. Max Pentecost, C/1B, Toronto Blue Jays (High-A, Dunedin): 3-5, R, RBI It is good to see Pentecost catching again, for both his prospect value, and because of all the injuries he has had to deal with. While the arm strength is still coming back, Pentecost has been smooth behind the plate. Maybe not a full-timer behind the plate, but Pentecost bat will force that decision down the road.
