  1. Oh wow, Matt Moore's career walk rate isn't as bad as I thought.
  2. Stop rounding up, dicktits. His walk rate more than doubled in the majors and then really fell into garbage territory this year. MATT MOORE!
  3. He wasn't really that good in his MLB innings anyway. Mediocre SwStr % and s***** BB rate. If the shoulder surgery costs him a couple ticks, he could wind up as a reliever.
  4. Urias is out for 14 months after shoulder surgery, who knows if he'll ever be good again? However, I do agree that AG probably should have put his name out there before dealing him, since he has considerable name value.
  5. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 3B http://www.baseballamerica.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/3ds_bluejays80.jpg Blue Jays (Low Class A Lansing) Age: 18. HT.: 6-1. WT.: 200. B-T: R-R. Source: Dominican Republic. Career Transactions: Signed as international free agent by Blue Jays, July 2, 2015. Background: The son of the former big league all-star of the same name, Guerrero ranked No. 1 on BA’s list of the top international prospects. And in the two years since he was signed, he’s raised his stock so dramatically that he’s in the conversation for the game’s top prospect. What To Watch For: Power, power and more power. Guerrero’s swing is a combination of violence and power, and the results are baseballs that are hit very hard and go a long way very quickly. Ht.: 6-0. Wt.: 200. B-T: R-R. Source: Lakewood HS, St. Petersburg, Fla. Career Transactions: Selected by Blue Jays in second round of 2016 draft. Background: The son of former all-star outfielder Dante Bichette, Bo has channeled his father and been an offensive terror with a career .402 batting average and 1.109 OPS since entering pro ball. What To Watch For: One of the youngest players in the Futures Game, Bichette will get the chance to show his skills will play against older competition and solidify his place as an elite prospect. 6. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Debut On The National Stage Vladimir Guerrero Sr. didn’t miss the first Futures Game (held in 1999) by all that much. He was already a big leaguer at that point, but that was Guerrero’s first all-star season for the Expos as a 24-year-old. Now Vladimir Guerrero Jr. will be the most anticipated prospect at the 2017 Futures Game. The Blue Jays’ top prospect has preternatural feel for barreling the ball and his power is already coming through in flashes. Fast forward the calendar a couple of years and many of Guerrero’s current doubles will become home runs. Guerrero is already in the discussion of being the best prospect in baseball. At the game last year, Eloy Jimenez got to show why he’s a top prospect. This year Guerrero will get the same opportunity. 7. I seem to recall Boxy calling Brandon Crawford an elite shortstop, and I believe he has a need at the position. There's your buyer.
  8. If Gyorko could get 5 starts at SS, I'd be real stoked about this.
  9. Not that high, I'll guess in the 50-60 range on most lists. I do think he'll make the Top 100 on MLB, BA, and BP though.
  10. LOL, I love how this signing was broken by... Bob McCown? wat
  11. Well, Cozens does lead the International League in HR currently, and Hoskins is 2nd. I'd say Kingery's power potential has jumped from 40 last year to at least 50 now. He could push 20 HR in the bigs some years. He's already 20/20 for the season.
  12. Makes sense. There's no such thing as a bad minor league deal.
  13. Holy s***, I missed the part where Julio Urias had shoulder surgery and could be out for 14 months. Yikes, shoulder injuries are the f***ing worst.
  14. Vogt already caught on with the Brewers
  15. Bottom line is when you're a journeyman catcher in your mid-30s, you really shouldn't talk s*** about the staff ace, even if he's in the wrong. It kinda reminds me of Shea Hillenbrand, another player who clearly overstepped the mark and was quickly run out of baseball.
  16. That's called "pop time" and coaches have been recording it with stopwatches for decades. That's how 1st base coaches decide whether or not to give a baserunner the green light to steal, you see them all the time giving time readings to the runner. The runner knows what kind of pop time he can personally beat.
  17. Speaking of which, FTD would be a perfect buyer for Beltre.
  18. I would gladly buy Beltre if my 3B/life-partner wasn't already out-earning Arenado and Bryant.

  20. I just really hate myself, it's a form of self-flagellation.
  21. Yeah that's off the table now that I have Kimbrel. I did give it a lot of consideration, however that player is someone I really didn't want to part with. You admittedly offered better value than P2F, but with him I was able to do a deal without giving up that guy.
  22. Also because he walks an atrociously unacceptable ratio of hitters.
  23. It's going to happen anyway, I don't know why you're pretending otherwise. When you send me the Vargas for Kingery offer in a couple weeks, I promise not to say I told you so (when I click decline).
  24. No thanks. I intend to keep your record of playoff futility intact.
