  1. I feel like 5-10 years ago, prospecting was so much more scouty. Nowadays, K:BB is everything and power can always be expected to blossom from guys with bat speed and plate discipline. I think Gleyber is going to be a career .300 hitter or very close to it.
  2. Gleyber is legit. Like I would consider trading Corey Seager straight up for him in BORED right now.
  3. I don't think they can continue sitting him 3 days a week as a hitter, the way he's mashing. It seems a bit unnecessary to sit him as a hitter the day before he pitches.
  4. Alright, f*** it. Call Vlad up.
  5. It's Lindor all over again.
  6. They Angels should just scrap the pitching experiment and let him settle in as a .300 AVG/50 HR DH. Min 70 PAs MLB Rank AVG - 2nd (behind Betts) ISO - 7th wOBA/wRC+ - 4th And this motherf***er is 23? Forget pitching.
  7. He might be a better hitter than pitcher
  8. It's really not so bad when that prospect has a 130 wRC+ in AA and is a SS ticketed for Coors. Also I still own Vlad, Robles, Bichette, Torres, Kopech, etc. Life is good.
  9. Guys I wouldn't recommend trading Soto.
  10. This is the Mazara I envisioned when I named by BORED team after him two years ago. Hopefully he doesn't fade down the stretch. It's easy to forget how young he is, there is still a lot of ceiling left.
  11. The Marlins did a bang up job of ruining Lewis Brinson.
  12. If it makes you feel any better, both Beni and Bo have morphed into slap-hitters while Sale is still an elite ace.
  13. It's also notable that Matt Olson is slashing .205/.295/.359 since you called him up.
  14. Ugh what an idiot.
  15. Juan Soto has hit so many home runs that his batting average is higher than his BABIP. Suck my cock.
  16. Cavan Biggio is the next Matt Carpenter.
  17. Mackenzie Gore smacked for 4 earnies in 2 innings, so maybe you can shut up for a few months about this low minors pitcher.
  18. In the scenario where she claimed he assaulted her but there was no physical evidence, she would be risking charges of her own if she later changed her story.
  19. I think the reality is that he's too good of a baseball asset to throw away for nothing. I'm sure he'll get a lengthy suspension and mandatory counseling, but I don't think this front office will release him or trade him for pennies on the dollar unless this assault is especially heinous.
  20. If police were called by a neighbour and showed up, they wouldn't just arrest Osuna without evidence that an assault took place. Either she said he assaulted her or there was physical evidence of it.
  21. If we imagine the circumstances under which he got arrested, either his girlfriend (or another family member) called 911, or his neighbours did because there was a loud disturbance. In either case, he would have only been arrested for assault if their was physical evidence of assault when the police arrived, i.e. a black eye, a bruised neck, bleeding, scratches, etc. If this is true, they'll have all the evidence they need to pursue the charge, and she would only risk perjuring herself if she gave false evidence to try to protect him... which she probably wouldn't do anyway if she was the one who called 911. You don't just call 911 the first time you have a yelling match with someone, there was probably an escalating pattern of threatening behaviour/violence.
