  1. You appear to be mentally unstable - Please have it checked out before someone gets hurt.
  2. The Jays lineup is stacked with LFer today yet they have not done anything against Greene. I dislike when I hear others moan about the dimensions yet not moan about the Jays not capitalizing on it
  3. Looks more like you are encouraging others to join in a s***-show. Give them a break and just try to support the team please.
  4. What's up with this? The game has just started and he got on 1B even though it was a bloop. What's the problem?
  5. That was amusing. Almost like "HEY!!! Pay attention!"
  6. I agree that it is nasty stuff. Just look at the batter's stance at the end and you will see how someone is gonna get hurt.
  7. The BoSox has been seeing slow pitches so now they have to adjust to some fast stuff. Ortiz is the only one I fear right now.
  8. Buchholz is at 45 pitches thru 2 innings so that looks good.
  9. Gose almost got picked off at 1B because he was being lackadaisical.I guess it's still a learning process and he will hopefully pay more attention on the base pads.Nice steal too - he sure is quick.
  10. You seem to have a huge chip on your shoulder today. Try not taking this thing too seriously.
  11. It appeared to be just another display of poor base-running fundamentals from my point of view.
  12. You complain ceaselessly, that's the problem. No player comes even close to being perfect in every game they play and at times there will be frustrations - you need to live with that fact rather than bawl like a baby whose pacifier was taken away from them. You are not the only one guilty of this so don't feel too badly.
  13. ... and I can only hope that means you stop coming to the GDT. Please do all if us a big favour and quit with the cry-baby whining.
  14. You are talking about one of the most negative posters in here - This individual only feels bad things are going to happen at every turn. Not sure if he ever ventures out of his shelter cuz the sky might fall and hit his head.
  15. I felt it was a bit too much but if he was a Jay I may have changed my tune and felt it wasn't overboard - just a matter of perspective. From my point of view, I liked his achievement, his longevity, his work ethics, his on and off field demeanour. With respect to insinuating there is no way to be 100% certain he didn't take PEDs is silly. Paint someone in a bad light because you don't have evidence to support a claim? Really??? I can remember when fans from other team made some comments that Bautista had to be taking PEDs because of his new found power a lot of Jays fans got upset- So much for having a balanced view, eh?
  16. As I said before, others will disagree with me but that's al right. A-Rod makes me sick to my stomach. He has displayed talent but in my mind he does not embody what baseball is all about. He found a way to bring shame to the integrity of baseball but that does not seem to faze you. Trout has the potential to be someone exceptional but he has not done his time. If he dies tomorrow will he get into the HOF? Will he be remembered as much for his longlevity or be was popular? I noticed you were quick to name A-Rod but conveniently left Barry Bonds out of your list. Any reason for this oversight? Could it be cuz he wasn't a Yankee and would have been honoured throughout the baseball world for his exceptional talent however he stained his image and brought disrepute to the game. With respect to talent those two cannot be compared yet when it comes down to who I feel represents purity (integrity/honesty/talent) of baseball I will choose Jeter and I know others will disagree with my sentiments so we will leave it at that.
  17. Quite a few people seem to have missed this point so it is refreshing to see it brought up. Some may ridicule you based on stats only but they are missing the fact that the compliment is based on integrity as well. I am not a Yankees fan but looking objectively at what Jeter has accomplished over his career, his work ethics, his demeanor, being able to stay away from PEDs, not allowing his fame to get the better of his ego, being able to stay away from public controversy etc. is really huge in this day and age. From my perspective, he is the embodiment of what baseball is all about. Some will disagree with my point of view but so be it cuz I know we don't all see things in the same hues and tones.
  18. It would be amusing if it wasn't so sad. We have people who are quick to point out that pitchers/hitters not being able to adapt to situations yet posters come in here expecting to win every game. Talk about not being able to adapt to change, the Jays are missing a few regulars and they are facing a really tough pitcher but they are shocked, even critical and cynical, that the replacement players are not capable of shutting down the Rays or winning the game in the early stages.
  19. I agree with you - he did have a good at bat. You really should not find fault with someone who has a good at bat especially against a good pitcher.
