  1. Don't look now, but Gregoire has a .362/.563 going for the last month. I always thought the importance of a full ST was overblown, but shows what I know I guess.
  2. Yeah, because it's not the fact that the Jays have Martin, Tulo and Donaldson, literally almost half of their payroll doing almost nothing, or the fact that they are trading/have traded all their useful players.
  3. I mean, if being active is the only quality desired then I guess that's true.
  4. I think the type of people here who are upset about the deal has made me feel even better about it.
  5. The ordering on that list is pretty wacky.
  6. Whoa, cool. I didn't realize Happ was born in Peru.
  7. That would make sense since Price was a much better pitcher. Still, turned out that Norris busted and Boyd is the only piece from that deal that's worth anything.
  8. I don't really think the Jays gave up substantially more when they acquired Price, unless I'm misremembering how highly thought of Dan 3:16 was at the time
  9. Yeah that and him getting CF has been pretty nice from a fantasy perspective, so I've been paying attention
  10. And this is his 4th org at 23 years old. I'd really like to see a list of guys the Jays could have had instead of McKinney.
  11. You're assuming those guys were made available, though. There's a good chance the Yankees put a higher value on those guys than we think.
  12. I think at minimum they need Tulo and Martin off the books before they can even think of competing.
  13. I was gonna say Brett Lawrie but I don't really know what happened there.
  14. That's his point, dummy
  15. That's weird because I haven't seen a single person argue that they are.
  16. It's because idk how you can be so smart when it comes to Donald Trump but so dumb when it comes to this. I had hopes for you and you just set fire to them.
  17. Bo Bichette, Cavan Biggio, Kevin Smith, Jordan Groshans, etc. They definitely at least target the right traits in hitters if nothing else. Grichuk was kinda prospecty too when he came over. Sort of like Drury, actually, except a definite decent defender.
  18. True, he'll be way too expensive in 3 years. I know you think he's a s***** player but he's definitely looking at a 200 million deal in 3 years because every FA former prospect gets the same amount of money.
  19. What was Aaron Judge's steamer projection for his first season again? Was it a 180 wRC+? Drury is clearly still developing and everything is trending in the right direction. Sometimes players really do benefit bigly from better coaching. Unless you think Arizona is a better org than the Yanks for that sort of thing. You know, given how interesting the Yankees farm system is despite the fact that they almost always pick at the back of the draft.
  20. - hits ball hard - hits ball in the air - acceptable walk and strikeout rates - given the mixed bag of results, too early to write him off as a s***** defender It's not a stretch to believe he could be a average or even slightly above average player with proper coaching. It seems the Yankees have helped him be more selective at the plate as well.
  21. Don't forget Wall and Spanberger
  22. I think we have been expecting too much from a Happ trade, myself included. All things considered, though, this seems like a pretty decent deal. I guess if you're a dummy that doesn't like looking at underlying stats this trade sucks so you know...keep hating it I guess.
  23. I don't think him being average is such a huge thing to ask for.
  24. Your dumn
