In other ******** news, has anyone talked about how Jack Morris made it into the HOF despite failing to do so in his 15 years on the ballot? I don't think there's been any evidence to suggest that Gibby isn't already "their guy". They had the option to get rid of him many times and clearly don't want to. Atkins has already said that Gibby is part of the solution, not part of the problem. If they get rid of Gibby, it will be to give themselves more rope. I'm sure they made it clear to Rogers from the start that this decline was going to happen and that they have a plan to compete with a smaller payroll when the big contracts are off the books. So, TL;DR, I would be shocked if they fire Gibby. He's a good manager and a freaking great guy who has remained positive in spite of these past two years. There are no stories of any type of mutiny forming. No players are saying they are desperate to leave. If Gibby goes, that's a huge hit to my trust of Shapiro and Atkins.

Diversity of thought is a counter to the diversity that basically means fewer white people. It's the insane notion that, say, two black people could have radically different opinions on the same thing, and that is more important than just filling your workplace or whatever with as many skin colours as possible.

It means that people who don't subscribe to the idea of ignoring individuality and just lumping people into groups based on race/gender/sexuality are white supremacists Actually, it reminds me of that debate between Sargon and Thomas Smith, where Smith said that total freedom would lead to white dominance, not even grasping the fact that he directly implied that white people are the best. These people don't actually know what they believe. They think they do, but they are too stupid and caught up in outrage.

I don't disagree with that in principle if you see McKinney in the way you do. I generally agree that the lottery ticket types are overrated, I'd almost always rather have a more sure thing, especially given the timeline the Jays have for getting back to a competitive window. -

I mean, I can see the argument in that he's much more of a known quantity, but he kinda sucks. He's a first round pick and yet 3 orgs have already given up on him. Seems like a positive outcome for McKinney is a back up OF that we could get on FA for a million bucks or so. In that case, I'd much rather gamble on talent when I wouldn't be missing out on much with the alternative. -
