You know, sad to say but you're probably right. For all his flaws (which greatly outnumbered his strengths) Beeston would not have accepted this because he does actually care about the franchise. There's no reason for Shapiro to have an investment in Toronto's history.

I don't care, f*** Brandy Halladay for making Roy's induction all about her. She should have had no f***ing opinion on the matter because we already knew what Roy wanted and she just had to f***ing insert herself and make some f***ing weird decision indicating that she thinks Roy not going in as a Jay means people will remember him as a baseball player. f*** Brandy Halladay. I don't care if she is a widow, but she's sure as f*** milking it for all it's worth.

I can't even process the anger I have right now. These guys get PAID to do this. They can't recognize a good prospect for the life of them.
