I would put Colby's floor for next season at around 2 WAR. Gose needs a miracle to match those numbers. IMO Colby was one of the most under-rated players in all of baseball in 2013...as a Jays fan, I hope it happens again.
I'm still not sure what the Cardinals hated about Tony? Colby being a Blue Jay has made me believe all the B.S I heard about La Russa. Much like any early 90's Jays fan I hated the A's. Knowing La Russa was as full of it, as I always thought he was, makes me feel great.
I feel bad for every Jay's fan who didn't see Alomar's pennant winning HR against Eckersley...truly the proudest moment in the history of this team. It's impossible to express how I felt that evening. I hope you all experience that same feeling one day. I promise you no prospect, scouting report or stat will ever come between you and that moment.
I doubt it. The Jays aren't in a position to trade Colby, I'd honestly rather trade Bautista, still don't see either of them moved, their both core pieces.
I just find it annoying that you only replied to the Romero portion of my post. Not only that but you respond with "lol...no" while completely ignoring the other 5 names I mentioned.
I'd rather see McGowan, Drabek, Hutchison, Happ, Stroman or even Romero. The Jays have no need for a project like Marcum, I'm not sure why people have to complain every time a player signs with a team that isn't the Jays.
Just took a quick look, although his ERA was higher in the second half his advanced stats looked good. I'm still not convinced anyone would offer over $20M for one season.
