  1. I see what your saying, but I still wouldn't make that deal. I'd rather see them go after Lowrie if they really want an upgrade at 2nd.
  2. Why would the Jays even consider Osuna for Valbuena? I'd rather see them just roll with Travis.
  3. Incredible catch. I could see Pillar making a play like this, he doesn't appear to have any fear of walls or green concrete.
  4. Im hoping nobody thought this was a good idea in the other thread.
  5. I'm beginning to believe Sanchez will start the season in the bullpen.
  6. I don't understand why they talk so much about the blades of grass. Is the only padding in the turf the rubber crumb?
  7. Probably because most casual baseball fans outside of Oakland have no idea who he is.
  8. Jays must not be offering enough money.
  9. Very curious to see what this is about.
  10. As much as I'd love to see Votto in a Jays jersey I really don't think that contract is worth the risk.
  11. By the sounds of it the Giants are willing to negotiate further. Why didn't the Padres just extend Headly instead of offering Sandoval $100M?
  12. I'd be ok with AA moving Sanchez but not for Bruce and that contract.
  13. You seem to be the one with your head stuck up your ass. Sure those deals weren't great but the future of this team looks pretty good. AA has done an amazing job with the Jays farm. That hasn't translated to the MLB roster yet, but he's not nearly as bad as some here make him out to be. If the Jays do fire AA I'd expect him to be some other teams GM oin short order. The negativity on this board is unbearable at times.
  14. Someone on MLBTR is saying 4/72. If it's anywhere near that this deal looks f***ing horrible.
  15. Tigers close to re-signing Victor Martinez. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/11/tigers-close-to-re-signing-victor-martinez.html
  16. Why not just put a link in your sig.
  17. What is it Brett Lawrie is supposed to be taking notes on?
  18. We can do that next offseason if needed and still get a huge return. No need to deal Bautista right now.
  19. Great read! It's hard not to like what AA has done with the minor league system. He's done a great job of quickly rebuilding what he traded away in the Marlins and Mets deals.
  20. Another AA wavier claim. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/10/blue-jays-claim-andy-dirks.html
  21. I think I'd rather see them use in house options rather than overpay Akoi to come here.
  22. Just submitted my predictions. Great job with the contest. It makes the offseason just a little more interesting.
  23. I see Friedman is already enjoying his new found wealth. I don't understand how you guys can just start rooting for another team because of their front office. This game used to be about the players and fans were committed to their teams regardless of who was in charge.
  24. My point was that Reyes can be traded. I honestly don't believe the Jays would have to eat that much money. 3/55-60 for Reyes might be appealing to whichever team loses out in the Hanley bidding war. I don't see the Jays moving Reyes anyway so it doesn't really matter.
  25. I think it's been proven just about any player can be traded if the price is right. Jays would most certainly have to eat some cash but Reyes could be dealt.
