What huge contract did he hand out? Martin? And how is he similar to Dombrowski? I don't recall him giving 200 million dollar contracts to anyone. I'm not a huge AA fan but you're comparisons don't make any sense. -
Don't we want them to be legitimately good not just hoping for them to suck less than the others teams? JV's our best young piece but he still can't play defense or pass out of the post to save his life. The guy who's carrying us is almost 30 and is going to decline soon. The other star is on the last year of his contract and not even that good either. We're not even a mediocre team with a lot of upside... just a mediocre team.

lol top 10 team? ECF contenders? Based on 15 games? Are we not talking about the same team with about the same core as the team that got swept by the wizards last year? We've only been playing okay because Lowry is once again having a stretch of games of playing over his head and Demar has an insane foul rate. Once that regresses we're still 1st/2nd round fodder basically.

The phillies were doomed ever since Amaro stepped into the gm role. -
The contract might even be bad sooner. I don't really care, if they don't sign Price then it'll be Cueto who's cheaper and still good, or maybe they'll spread it around and end up improving their team even more. Stop worrying so much about the red sox.
