Cant even put into words how insane the atmosphere was. Im exhausted. DeRozan was terrible and there a ton of questionable calls.

SSS but he's had 8 appearances this season and only 2 of them have been clean. It's undeniable how shaky he's been.

Goins deserves credit where credit is due for his D. It's been a massive upgrade over Bonifacio. He's hit the ball harder lately as well. Still don't think he sticks but he has been stinging the ball a little bit.

Yankees rotation will hold up much better than the Rays' this year.

I'm aware that the advanced stats favour Santos. But how the heck can you stand behind those stats when Santos almost never actually plays baseball? Janssen has thrown 120 innings over the last 2 years while Santos has thrown 30!

Cruising until the 6th until he gave up a HR and Gibby pulled him after a triple was hit against him with one out. Very good performance. Promising. -

How many good seasons has Santos actually had? His 2011 was very impressive but what has he done since then? He's thrown THIRTY SIX innings for us. Janssen has been nails for years. Yes he doesn't K as many guys as Sergio but I would take Janssen (assuming both are healthy) 10/10 times over Santos. Substance over style any day of the week.

Just because you tell a guy to play the OF doesn't mean he can actually play the OF.

Are you a sadist? There was nothing pleasurable about that 9th inning at all.

More versatility? Kawasaki can play all of the infield positions. Diaz has more range but Kawasaki's bat/approach at the plate is just so much better.

There is a massive difference between "filthy" and "effective".

Diaz is a bit of a better defender than Kawasaki. That's it. Kawasaki has him on everything else.

If you aren't going to send down Goins at least send down Diaz.

Kawasaki should request to be released. He should be in the majors.

How about nobody is the closer? Gibby is going to have to start trusting his starters to give him more innings. Hutch could've gotten out of that situation tonight and given them another few outs. You cannot run your pen out there for 4 innings a night.

Laid off some impossible pitches? It was a good at bat from Kipnis but Santos couldn't find the zone. No brainer to take some of those. We should've lost this game.

How about we stop using him as a "closer" and just play the matchups? Start the inning with Santos and have Loup ready for a LH
