  1. It's hard for a lot of the fairweather fans to get over the bust that was 2013. Winning will fix everything.
  2. For the right to have Love to only one guaranteed year? That's way too much. An extension would have to be signed immediately.
  3. Never said he was gone. I'm just saying Hurl's dream of Kevin Pillar being some super platoon guy this year is over.
  4. Has the hive put out a statement declaring their support for Pillar? I didn't see the press release. Sorry hive members! I take back what I said! Pillar 2015 4th OFer!
  5. I disagree. I would 100% keep Gose as the 4th OFer. He appears to mentally finished with AAA. He goes back down, he probably sulks and struggles. He stays up, he provides a fantastic PR/defensive replacement as well as the occasional spot start in the OF. It's not like he needs a bunch more seasoning. He'll never be a great hitter so we might as well get maximum value out of him right now.
  6. Hurl, Pillar is gone. You have to accept this. It's over.
  7. I would also like an explanation of this lol. Page 3 of this thread makes zero sense.
  8. I actually didn't realize how terrible Kendrick Perkins was. He was a decent bench scoring option/rebounder when he was with the Celtics but he's getting paid like he's a fringe starter now... when he clearly isn't. At teh end of his current deal he will have earned approx 55M. Yeesh
  9. The worst thing about the Wakefield game was all of the resulting talk about how his knuckleball that night "messed up the Jays' swings". They had no business being 26-14 or whatever they were at the time. They sucked.
  10. It'd be a pretty big shame if they didn't go after another pitcher this year though. Hutch and Buehrle are carrying their weight but you aren't going to make the playoffs with the current rotation. I think Dickey will get better but there are still too many question marks.
  11. The 9 game losing streak that followed was devastating. Facepalm after facepalm every night. The rotation was brutal though. Cecil, Robert Ray, Janssen, Scott Richmond, and Tallet (along with Doc) all had starts immediately after that Wakefield game. They had no chance with that rotation.
  12. Bruce actually gave us a pretty good start that night too. Solid 6 innings. Really threw his balls to the wall during that one.
  13. This was the game: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/BOS/BOS200905190.shtml This was the f***ing game that ruined that god damn season. I think I made that thread like a day before this game. They completely fell apart after this one.
  14. With our luck, Tim Wakefield comes out of retirement to sign with the A's, starts against us tomorrow night, and we lose like 12 in a row.
  15. Look bro, I know you're still mad because nobody showed up to your little impromptu Spezza rally (nice wheelchair BTW) so I'm gonna let your comment slide. DUSTIN TOKARSKI FTW
  16. Habs wiN!!!!
  17. There are rumors about everyone. Mike Conley being one of them (guy is a stud). Randolph probably comes back for at least one more year.... I don't get it either. They have a really good team.
  18. Habs so close to getting back to 2-1... If someone slashed Chris Kreider in the face and knocked all of his teeth out, I wouldn't shed a tear. f*** this guy.
  19. I'm fine with Hendriks getting a chance.
  20. Pillar down. Someone check on Hurl.
  21. lol You re-appear when they finally win one.
  22. Lets go Oakland, Cleveland, and CWS. As long as Oakland beats the Rays though, I'm good.
  23. Fantastic win. Maybe McGowan has found his niche as a long man.
