    You make it seem like 24 is old for a pitcher. These guys should be able to dominate at each level before getting promoted. Would the Cardinals promote Aaron Sanchez if he struggled this badly in AA?

    It still sends the wrong message throughout the org. Poor performance is rewarded with a promotion. I hope this move was done because of the aforementioned reasons of better coaching at the AAA level and not because they want him in the majors at some point this year. He is still 2 years away at least.
