  1. Soooo.... is Zaun just on vacation? Kevin Barker should not be on TV.
  2. Wiki might be missing a few, but long story short, there are almost no successful diabetic athletes in the history of professional sports: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sportspeople_with_diabetes Jay Cutler Ron Santo Jackie Robinson (Type 2, not sure if he had this during this playing days, likely not) Bobby Clarke And that's about it. The odds are clearly stacked against Morrow. Diabetes is not some minor thing.
  3. Yet a ton of people still wanted to give him that QO. It's like injury history is completely irrelevant or something.
  4. Gibby probably just doesn't want to move guys around from their normal spots. Kinda dumb. Melky should be leading off.
  5. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/06/22/padres-reliever-alex-torres-becomes-the-first-major-league-pitcher-to-wear-a-protective-cap/ http://nbchardballtalk.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/alex-torres.png?w=693&h=388 I'm dying of laughter from this pic. AA needs to get on the phone and sign Mario and Luigi ASAP
  6. Cueto has been ridiculous this year. Time for Dickey to step up.
  7. This is my entire point. He clearly cannot start anymore. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. Just get WHATEVER you can out of him. The argument of him providing more value in ~10 starts than being kept in the pen is pretty debatable. Over the last two years he has had 16 starts and only threw six innings six times (aka he taxes the s*** out of our bullpen when he starts). Diabetes is a real thing. Time to move on.
  8. You used to be cool but you honestly sound like a bit of a douche. I disagree with you. Call the police.
  9. Um because he has the durability of a pre-schooler?
  10. Sorry guys, changed my opinion to jive with the herd. 30+ year old guy who hasnt thrown significant innings in 3 years with horrible disease will magically become 200 inning durable beast. Ill get it right next time on first attempt, I promise. Cut this pumpkin lose.
  11. Great rebuttal there ya f***in plug.
  12. Do you guys realize how serious diabetes is? Like its a real thing. Close Fangraphs for one minute and legitimately look at his health. He doesnt heal/recover like normal person. Diabetics cannot have sustained success as major league starters. Impossible. If he is to have any success as an MLBer he needs to go the McGowan route.
  13. Ya bud. Aging diabetic who can't even throw 100 innings. Good luck with that.
  14. Lol @ this. Morrow is barely a major leaguer.
  15. Nobody cares. Guy can't stay healthy. He should be thankful that he's still in the show.
  16. 100% yes. His days as a starter are done.
  17. Capuano would be a fantastic depth (I know that buddy with the projection system really like him before the season), but I don't really see a spot for him on the 25 man roster.
  18. JV gets married: http://www.lrytas.lt/pramogos/zmones/jonas-valanciunas-su-mylimaja-susituoke-ir-dievo-akivaizdoje.htm WAY too young but apparently she's politically connected in Lithuania.
  19. Happy Pride Week!
  20. lol @ me being level headed. I do agree with me making a slight comeback though. Not really a Scott Kazmir-esque comeback though.... Bartolo Colon is a good comp.
  21. I've been beating the Drabek-to-bullpen drum for months. If McGowan can succeed in the pen, Drabek can.
  22. Putting the sun screen on right now so my white ass doesn't burn to a crisp!
  23. Ju1ced thanks for the offer bro but I'm going to have to turn it down. This guy is a great second choice. Maybe next time!
  24. Rasmussen looked insanely nervous last time up. Stuff looks OK though. If he can cure the butterflies you never know. Maybe a Scrabble type of guy.
  25. AA has done a lot of questionable things over the past few years but LOL @ the current Bautista and EE contracts. He needs to be given credit for timing these perfectly. Bautista and Edwin at a combined 24M over the next few years is just ridiculous.
