    Is there any benefit to moving him to the pen before the callup though? This doesn't make a lot of sense. If his arm is conditioned well enough to be a starter... then it shouldn't be a problem coming out of the pen. This is really odd.

    The Raps have so many scrubs on their summer league team. They blew like a 30 point lead tonight. Dwight Buycks is a joke. Guy thinks he is Iverson out there. Pathetic job getting others involved.

    Can someone please give me some insight as to why the Expos attendance fell off a cliff between 1983 and 1984 and then never recovered? They were always around a .500 team during that period.     If they tried to build a stadium in Montreal right now I would bet my life savings that it would go over budget by like 500% and would never, ever be finished on time. They can't even pave their own streets, how the hell are they supposed to be able to build a new, state-of-the-art baseball stadium? Also, good luck getting Quebec tax payers to foot that bill.

    Lance Stephenson going to Charlotte. This significantly weakens the Pacers. "With the Indiana Pacers, Stephenson blossomed into an effective all-around player and provided an ideal complement to Paul George, Roy Hibbert and David West. His suitors came and went throughout free agency and his dialogue with the Pacers’ front office diminished, leaving an uncertainty about whether their five-year, $44 million deal was still available." Basically turned down 5/44 and ended up with 3/27.5 (with the last year being a team option). I could see the Pacers finishing in teh 4-6 range this year.

    So apparently Lebron's deal is only for 2/42 and he can opt out after NEXT year. He's just awaiting the new TV deal that'll be signed in a few years which is expected to raise the salary cap to 80M. Kind of sucks that the cap is going to get raised so much seeing as how it'll help a lot of teams that are in s***** cap situations (while we're in great shape).
