It's ironic, back on the old board we used to laugh at the Phillies for their trades and thinking that they are competitive, and blasting Amaro Jr. as much as we could Now I wonder if other fans see us as we saw the Phillies? Throwing prospects and money into the fire!

He's 22 (or 21?) the kid is way ahead of his time as a starter, most starters his age would do worse. All he needs is to polish that changeup and make it an out pitch. His biggest problem was after getting to two strikes, not being able to put the batter away

This time last year we were 42-43 This year we are 41-44 Last year we had an emergence of young starters and EE, and an injury plague that wiped us out, along with a top 5 farm system This year we have really nothing 'special' infact the only positive surprise might be Kawazaki and Rogers as a starter. No farm to speak of, and backloaded contracts are on the team, which I might add is the oldest team in the Majors. Did I mention that most of the team's contracts are expiring by 2016? I have changed my attitude completely about this team and favor a blowup and rebuilding of the team. I'm not saying that I have given up on the Jays, if anything as a fan I have given them a second chance and a pass on the so called "chosen season". I just feel like the risk is greater if we go forward with this team than just scrapping and rebuilding for contention in 2-3 years, but that's just me. So should #Blowup2013 be a thing?

Love that reference but on topic: Trade Lind ASAP because he might still be valuable on the market. I remember being blasted during the win streak for saying that we should move him, but as he's cooled off, he should be traded because he's going to bring back more than what he's worth for a team that's contending right now. Rasmus because he's at FA season, either that or extend him ASAP and trade Melky/Gose Oliver to Rangers because they don't mind relief and they like Oliver JJ because JJ and Bonifacio to NL team because of utility option and speed I doubt Rogers has any value, and I bet Buherle has as much, if not more, value than him. If so then trade his backloaded ass out of here Trade Arencibia now before his stock drops even lower. We should send him to a desperate team that needs homerzzzzzz from the 'catching' position (Nats? Tigers? Mariners?) Janssen because teams like the Tigers believe in savezzzzzzzzzzzz (ala Valverde signing) who need closers pay out the ass for one -
This was an awesome team before the Dickey trade. We ALL valued d'Arnaud starting over Arencibia instead of Dickey throwing every 5 days. Had we just thrown as much money as possible on Anibal Sanchez, problem solved easily. I know it's hard to attract FA, but I think $3-$5 million extra annually over what the Tigers gave isn't worth as much as d'Arnaud and Syndgaard were
