But why should Alex be gunshy about making Bautista publically available and looking at the Red Sox (Betts, Jackie Bradley, Blake Swihart, Rafael Devers) Yankees (Banuelos, Gary Sanchez, Mason Williams, lower level IFA's....etc) Texas (Ronald Guzman, Brinson, Odor, Alfaro) Dodgers (Joc Pederson, Zach Lee, Urias, Seager).
You trade short term pain, for long term gain. If the Jays wanna remain a short term try, down years type team, they're going to continue to alienate building a solid fanbase.
