    Following the rest of the majors and watching MiLB games and seeing that things aren't rosy everywhere else tempers any mood swings for me.

    I agree. And not that I use garbage sites to get info. But if I'm searching for something, an injury status on a prospect/player....etc ......and stumble across a tidbit of info on a s*** site that I find useful I'll use it.

    My theory by keeping Lawrie has nothing to do with building a team around him. It has everything to do with Lawrie being young, cheap and heading towards his prime opposed to leaving his prime. When you have expensive players on the tail end of or leaving their prime, they bog down the finances of having a financially flexible team, the player is not getting better production wise and is getting worse and he's a less desirable asset. The problem is most fans get attached to players, even if a player once was great and is now a shell of their former self and costs a fortune. For some reason the majority of fans still love that player, because they know the player and are comfortable. Its a losing mentality if that's the mentality you have.

    Then you use him. You don't wait for a f***ing save opportunity. Hypothetical situation. Say you have the consensus best closer in all of baseball and one year the team never/rarely has a save chance. Does that mean you rarely use the guy who's been identified as the closer? That's a dumb fans way of looking at the situation.

    Kinda like the game where the Jays were down by a run to the Yankees a few years ago and sent Johnny f***ing McDonald to the plate in the 9th with two outs, expecting some offensive contribution on a non-Fathers Day game and leaving Randy Ruiz on the bench. Why, because if the Jays had've tied the game and gone to extras they may have had a weird defensive alignment. OMG, we can't have that happen.

    Why not? You do what you can to win the f***ing game. Janssen won't be needed tomorrow, so rest or saving him for the Sox series wasn't the issue.

    Casual fans are easily persuaded and if ticked off and they leave, it wouldn't take much to do something different or build hope and they'd all be back.
