  1. He's a scrapper and Canada is a hockey country.
  2. How dare you accuse me of trolling. I would never.
  3. Yeah its a stretch but Bellinger wouldn't have much difficulty becoming a 1B, 3B, CF, and would be better at 3B then any internal option Positional flexibility is all the rage these days
  4. Bellinger 3B, Biggio LF, Schneider 2B
  5. Spanky has been banned many times. He's learned his lesson and is a lot better now.
  6. Chances are Orelvis gets boo'ed out of town by June. Jays are not going to risk it. He needs more seasoning. He'll be up when he is dominating AAA.
  7. That's a ******** article. Filler.
  8. This goes too far the other way. The middle ground is something like 5 years and $110M. The projection for Orelvis is a wRC+ of 88 and below average defense as a 3B. He's not who I was thinking of when I mentioned internal options. Schneider / Biggio platoon much better.
  9. I don't think he's getting a huge contract. His market is not that large, and teams tend to undervalue defense. Jays having internal options available at 3B mean they can despair him.
  10. FG says the only defensive homes for Busch are 1B/LF. He could be had reasonably cheaply and fill LF, and not signing Bellinger frees up cash for an SP (Montgomery?) and 3B (Chapman?) Having Varsho reduces the impact of Busch's defensive limitations
  11. Cruz a bit of a unicorn - highly unlikely a current big leaguer will follow the same trajectory 9/10 Teo is on the decline and will be out of baseball by 35
  12. Would the Jays have a role for Michael Busch? The guy is wasting away on the Dodgers farm. Hell of a lot of pop in that bat.
  13. Craft a deal with financial and opt out incentives to help keep Vlad in shape. If Jays are going to lose Bichette, which seems likely, at least find a way to extend Vlad at a reasonable deal while he has 2 more arbitration years.
  14. I'd pay for him in any 20 teamer, good chance he hits 20HR and 40SB this season
  15. Your guess is as good as mine There is the possibility the Rays will not want him back and attempt to trade him (like the Dodgers did with Bauer), and if no takers, he will be released. Rays will have to do the unthinkable for them and eat a shitload of dollars. Depends on the facts.
  16. And how does this equate moral turpitude on my part? If you don't think my position is reasonable, explain why not. I'm basically taking the same position I did with Bauer, it depends on the facts. In Franco's case, it depends on the relative ages and the nature of the relationships.
  17. You have to explain this comment. You think Franco is a pedophile because he started a relationship when he was a minor with a girl 3-4 years younger, and the relationship continued when he became an adult? Franco absolutely is a pedophile if he was 21 and had a sexual relationship with a 14 yr old. Facts matter.
  18. So we will see by April 29, 2024, two years after the start of the suspension.
  19. Bauer can sue MLB over the suspension and loss of many millions of dollars. He has not. This is in effect an acceptance of the arbitrator's decision that he violated MLB's policy.
  20. I have never expressed that Franco is innocent, nor have I have said Bauer is guilty. If you think otherwise, show the receipts.
  21. If Franco started a relationship with a 14 yr old when he was 21, he's not getting a pass from me. I do have an issue with Bauer, yes, along with any other man that is physically abusive to women. I just find it weird that those that present Bauer as innocent, also present Franco as guilty.
