Being a MENSA means a mind that works at a high level, that's all. Doesn't necessarily mean success in the world of business
Many MENSA live in basements
Just taking issue with your conviction that AA's mind doesn't work at a high level
Not sure about that. Some of the comments made suggest that the prospects were just seen a future trade chips for the right time.
Wish the team was run in a more rational manner, with a balance of highly paid core players, young controllable talent, and a pipeline of prospects ie. the Cardinals way.
Maybe but Chapman does seem to have a violent delivery better suited for short bursts. Hard to see him keeping that up for multiple innings every 5 games
Gose is blazing fast
If I remember right, Devo wasn't a particularly good basestealer in his early years either, but he got there
And Gose is faster than Devo
Gose just needs to screw his head on straight
we giving up on Gose already? How old is he again
and where the f*** is Tim Raines in this? he should stand in at 1B coach for the Bisons for a bunch of games
remember Eckersley and smoltz? two guys that were top end starters and became dominant late inning relievers? I think of these guys when I think of McGowan going forward
most posters are thinking lawrie having the ability to play both 2b and 3b gives AA the flexibility to find either a 2b or 3b
actually with reyes able to play either SS or 2b, AA just needs to find a 3b, ss, or 2b to solidify the infield
what went wrong? bad trade, no doubt
there was enough talent on the team to be the class of MLB
bad start killed the season, and why bad start, my theory is bad preparation.... spring training was a joke, the team had bad fundamentals from the start
