  1. Sandwich a Morrow/McGowan diabetic tag team between Dickey and Buerhle Morrow/McGowan >>> Hammel
  2. Like a few have said, too early to decide Sanchez vs Stroman We need to see how Stroman fares his 2nd time through the league Sanchez has the better quality pitches, so if he finds control......
  3. f*** I said this a month ago and got slammed for it Butcher boy all the way for Gose
  4. Shark's IP last 4 years - 130, 88, 174, 213 And already 103 IP this year. That is not a relatively steep increase in IP over time? Trading 3 top prospects for a pitcher with unknown durability is risky As for Sanchez, this year is out of character for him, compared to previous years. Since mid 2013 he's struggled.... but can just as easily turn it around and be dominant again. That's what I mean by trading him now being a sell low.
  5. He said 2 of Sanchez, Pompey, and Norris Sanchez and Pompey for Shark would be reasonable.... Norris is untouchable in my view
  6. Trading Sanchez now would be a major sell low. He has ace potential and showed it in Montreal. Having said that.... not averse to him being traded for the right return. Shark makes me nervous though, his IP has been on a relatively steep incline, and we have had s***** luck trading for pitchers.
  7. reactionary thread 4.25 era
  8. Quite possibly, but I hate to bring up a top prospect before they are ready..... he's needs to have a couple of dominating performances at AAA first for his confidence level
  9. nice article on McGowan http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/id/48772/dustin-mcgowan-all-about-perseverance
  10. Drabek should be given one more chance at a starting gig He's been improving the last month or so... walk rate is down Depending on how he does going forward, if a starter goes down for extended period, he should get a shot
  11. Hurt often, diabetic, inefficient, struggles to pitch more than 5 innings, great stuff Almost identical to McGowan, except 2.5 yrs younger We've seen how McGowan has helped the bullpen Delabar may be done Should Morrow go to the bullpen on his return, replacing Delabar? If all goes well for him, he can return to starting later in year or next spring
  12. I don't mind this.... reasonably good numbers when he's off his game, 1 level below MLB If he finds command, Jays have a #2 or better
  13. http://walkersauctions.auctionflex.com/showlot.ap?co=49735&weid=44820&weiid=15918671&mindate=20140715&maxdate=20140717&lso=lotnumasc&pagenum=4&lang=E Some of you might be interested in bidding on this
  14. Bad body, getting slower For what he brings to the plate, he needs to be a good defender - he's not Much, much prefer Rasmus in LF and Gose in CF QO for Melky
  15. Catcher framing does nothing when the ump is biased
  16. McGowan as SP > Morrow as SP At least Dusty can get through 5 IP
  17. doesn't Muni have a higher walk rate?
  18. Curious why Drabek can't miss bats now.... with the Jays he usually was stingy in giving up hits, but of course was walking guys Romero style Is he throwing nothing but fastballs?
  19. "At what point do you panic?" Never, in my case. Karma and s***
