    Disagree.... they've attempted to in the past. Anibal for example (not quite top end). 2015 is the last year of the so called 3 year window.... let's see what happens. We all know the Jays lack the ace that a true contender needs.

    Problem with this is Jays would be a better team with d'Arnaud at $0.5M, using the $11.5M not spent on Dickey somewhere else. And we haven't even considered Syndergaard who >>>>>>> Dickey effect. The trade cannot be defended, it was complete idiocy.

    Ah my mistake. I thought his 2013 salary was same as this year at $12M. Fangraphs has his value at $10M last year and this year so he's providing $3M of value so far, but expect that to come down. d'Arnaud has already provided more.

    Uhhh the first two years of Dickey he has provided negative value (he's being paid more than the value he is giving the team) This year, d'Arnaud has provided over $5M of surplus value (worth more than he is being paid) And we haven't even gotten to Syndergaard That trade has a chance to be one of the most lopsided in history

    No Melky and no Janssen = money to sign a Lester, Shields, Scherzer, or another top FA pitcher There are internal options to replace both I'd rather have an ace starter than Melky and CJ I don't buy that FA won't come to TO.... Clemens, Molitor, Winfield

    I like a buy low on Colby and a QO to Melky (he won't take it). 2014 Colby is simply one of his off years.

    Actually by the laws of probability it is more likely Morrow will pitch more innings in 2015 then he has in the past 3 years. And his injuries the past few years have not been elbow or shoulder, but oblique muscle, entrapped radial nerve, and torn tendon sheath in his right hand. Could be as much bad luck as fragile body. The bigger issue for 2015 may be a lack of stamina due to lack of pitching.
