    Lot more to running a MLB club then the team on the field. Hopefully someone that focusses on the marketing, stadium issues, PR, HR, travel arrangements, medical staff, etc. And leaves the team to the GM and Manager.

    Do those projections take into account Martin behind the dish. I can see Martin making a significant impact on the RP corps, particularly someone like Delabar.

    One thing you definitely do not want is having to put EE at 3B or LF in an emergency, and he hasn't played in the field in a month. You want to give all the players a regular turn in the field for that reason.

    '6 or 7' was just a turn of phrase maybe the best way to compare the farm from 2011 to today is to compare say the #10 from 2011 with the #10 today - Syndergaard vs Tirado or maybe base it on how many Jays are in the BA top 200 as compared to previous years offhand the current prospect list is < 2011/2012

    Want Edwin to get some time in the field to retain more value accumulate more WAR. In case the team needs to be blown up.

    Not quite but getting there. Only the top 4 in the current group are certain to be effective MLB players, as compared to the top 6 or 7 in 2012? I think you mean 2011. d'Arnaud, Gose, Molina, Marisnick, Hechavarria, McGuire, Hutchison, Norris, Nicolino, Syndergaard It's not close to that level IMO

    Nice lineup. Would be nice to have some protection for Smoak but can't see him ahead of Donaldson. Well, maybe. But if Pompey hits like he is capable it won't matter.

    It's obvious you don't work for the govt. If there is surplus funds available, it either is unspent or used to purchase necessary items in advance. For example, if 6 large concrete culverts are to be replaced in 2015, and there is surplus funds available, the culverts will be purchased in advance and the contractor installing them picks them up from a yard. Don't spout about things you don't know about.
