  1. Crazy when you think about it..... lose Stroman AND Saunders from routine fielding practice in ST How often does that happen, and how often to TWO players on same team?
  2. Wow, Hutch dealing now Changing speeds and spinning the ball left and right
  3. Bautista played CF several games last season. Was not out of place. Certainly not the first option for CF. Goins 'in a pinch' as I said. Just pointing out there is tremendous flexibility within the 25 man.
  4. Don't see it that way..... if Goins who can play OF in a pinch is coming up after sneaking Hendriks down.... can rotate Saunders, Bautista, Pompey, Pillar in the OF and DH. All 4 can play all 3 OF positions, which is pretty damn nice to have.
  5. Man, I love watching good baseball Remember clowns like Bonifacio and Yunel? This team is much more professional, fundamental. Me likes
  6. Navy can sure get the barrel on the ball..... he could well be a good DH option, better than Lind anyway. Serious question - who is faster, Lind or Navy?
  7. Terrifying lineup for any pitcher...... gonna see some real slugfests this year
  8. good at bat Pillar..... he knows how to get the barrel on the ball. with a more patient approach he could be a nice surprise
  9. MiLB website "Last but not least, a look at farm systems in the American League East, where D.J. Davis, Justin O'Conner, Aaron Judge, Chance Sisco and Yoan Moncada are among the standouts." Wat?
  10. "Good fastball and he fights it off" LOL Beltran was sitting on it
  11. Norris = 150 IP 2.1 fWAR Sanchez = 105 IP 1.2 fWAR Castro = 60 IP 0.6 fWAR Osuna = 50 IP 0.4 fWAR Pompey = 350 PA 1.6 fWAR Travis = 400 PA 2.8 fWAR DJS = 80 PA 0.2 fWAR
  12. Wondering where Johnny Bench would rank in the all time WAR if framing was included? JFAS? He is up there as one of, if not the greatest defensive catcher in MLB history. Would be interesting to see where he ranks all time if catcher defense properly accounted for. And yes, my favourite player growing up, until Gary Carter and the Expos got it going.
