    if tulo plays injury free at SS its almost guaranteed his WAR is higher than both going forward. that doesnt justify keeping tulo at $19M a year or whatever it is rather than have Goins and Travis do both 2B and SS for $17M less.

    dont yet know what stroman will bring... which is the whole point of giving him some starts down the stretch

    IMO Jays don't really have any option but to put Stroman in the starting rotation and cross fingers. Without Stroman the playoff rotation is Price and 3 borderline guys.

    as far as burly goes, i have more faith in him as the 2nd lefty out of the pen than any of the other options he might even ramp up the velo a few notches knowing he's got at most 3 batters to deal with

    yes. i'd sell high on JD long before selling low on Tulo this offseason (altho 'selling low' may not apply to someone with Tulo's history)

    the basic limitation of any empirical stat such as wRC is it approximates the influence of all of the inputs (through fractional coefficients, linear weights, etc). empirical stats by definition are approximations (ie. not 100% accurate) BTS could have said the player is "50 +/- ?% better offensively than the league average hitter" with ? being the 2 standard deviations error of the approximation (2 SD is typically used)
