    Hedging is a short term solution. Beyond the short term, with revenues mainly in Cdn $ and liabilities in US $ of course it is a major consideration.

    Last season was Alford's 1st real pro season. He carried a 150 wRC across A and A+ after averaging TEN (10) games of pro baseball the previous 3 seasons. He dropped his K rate to 19.2% in A+. This guy has superstar potential. Hope the Jays hang on.

    Bello and Lind is a ridiculous comparison. Like I said before, the most Bello returns in a trade is a middling reliever. He's not the first one to have a Cinderella season and other teams know.

    Agree, i see a lot of risk in attempting to transition Osuna to a starter He was a rookie and a damn good one, and there's nothing wrong with being a shutdown late inning reliever.

    Overreliance on stats. Everyone kept bitching about AA's inability to field a complete team, until this year. And yet, you are saying team WAR is all that matters? Holes in the roster are not a problem if team WAR is good?

    Of course that's possible. A lot of things need to go right for a team, even a well built team, to make the post season (2013). Which is why the 'window/all-in' approach is massively stupid.

    Cubs have a lot of cost controlled players. Jays don't, limits what they can do.

    True, but he's on the right track. Chances are he will be better in 2016 simply from experience. Jays will work with him to further develop the cutter in ST. Combine that with the experience and he's a serviceable 5th starter, at least.

    OBP a bit high, 0.330 to 0.340 more reasonable... agree with other numbers, and he is not far off Pillar, D-wise

    Sorry, I've been following the Leafs too long. Trading youth for veterans and then watching the youth become elite while the veterans hit their decline/s*** the bed.
