  1. havent read the whole thread but did look up the plane. their advertising says you can fly it after 30 hrs of training. that is f***ing crazy. seems like less effort then a driver's licence. thanks for the memories Roy, rest in sweet peace
  2. Hmm... must be someone on my iggy list
  3. I posted it, brah just above you. Use your eyes.

  5. I expect Tulo to be a negative defender this year. The range has gone to s***.
  6. Ya i did that with Jose Reyes, and would do it again with a position player. But an RP, nah..... relievers are volatile as f***
  7. and just unconditionally released i have a good group of relievers already, and would rather pick as my keepers guys that have health and mobility in trade
  8. Maybe marginally. Bautista 1 yr removed from a 4.5 WAR season, and 2 years from 6.3 could only muster 18.5 M 1 yr guaranteed. Teams dont pay for past performance, but future expectations. For Tulo, that is almost zilch.
  9. hmm, somehow i dont share that assessment
  10. Any GM can trade prospects for high priced veterans for a short window of contending. JD was an outstanding trade (WTF Beane), and some others were very good, but I give AA the label of mediocre GM overall.
  11. Maybe banking on the increasing value attached to relievers, in part from starters going shorter innings.
  12. if he does that, the blame shifts to Beest?
  13. He'll rush guys to the majors then the Jays can snatch them when they 'bust'
  14. Yes but those kind of moves nowhere enough to compete with the 'stros and Dodgers and several other teams, unless everything goes Jays way, no major losses to injury, a couple of guys have career years, etc. In other words, realistically there is not much chance.
  15. I see the FO extending Stroman and finding the FA pool either barren or overpriced, signing a bunch of dross to short term deals. And with no reasonable prospect to be a contender in 2018, moving JD prior to the season start. Of course you will never hear Shatkins say this until it happens. Team will not be good again until the farm starts producing fruit. If they sign some middling veterans to multi year deals, the days of mediocrity have returned.
  16. Def keep McGuire. In fact, i can see him being backup C this year. The D is sound and he should hit enough to not be a Thole black hole.
  17. I suggest fillers on 1 year deals only. Save capital for the next FA season. Punt 2018 season for future success.
  18. Bichette and Eloy are not far apart in prospect value. I grant you Eloy has a bit more value. Bichette for Eloy is far more fair than Bichette for Garcia. Jays FO want to add, not subtract, high value assets to the farm.

Like the deal for Colorado. Shed salary and pick up a shitload of futures. Possible suitor for Tavares next offseason
  20. You want Bichette, you are looking at sending over Eloy. Bichette minor league player of the year, brah.
  21. first part is correct, 2nd part, its more than 0.2%
  22. The wild card in this is Otani. As long as Donaldson remains on the team, the signal is the Jays are retooling for a postseason run in 2018, and there is some chance to sign Otani. Trade Donaldson, and the chance of signing Otani goes to virtually zero.
  23. Ya i know they mean nothing to the Jays decision. I'm basically asking BJMB whether the team as presently constructed is good enough to keep Donaldson and lose him for nothing, or what improvements need to be made between now and April. It is probably true that if the Jays FO are unsuccessful in making the improvements they think are needed, they will shop JD. At minimum, they need a versatile MIF/OF that can hit (Ian Happ type), a back end starter, and a middle of the order corner OF. Pretty tall order. And no, Jay Bruce doesnt cut it.
