  1. Not clear how well Springer will play CF going forward, he is entering the decline years. This is why I prefer Kim for CF, and disagree with those saying he won't sign here to play CF. He will sign where the money is and where he prefers to play. Atkins has said the Jays value Kim for his defensive versatility.
  2. Freudian slip? Does Springer give you a chubby?
  3. "pretty good"? It would be awesome.
  4. You should be proud of your flexibility to change your position so quickly.
  5. I was responding to your comment about character as a criterion being dumb. The marketing arm of MLB would disagree.
  6. Not really. The HOF is essentially part of the marketing of the game of baseball. They don't want *******s in there.
  7. Just f***ing with you Spanky
  8. It's a little late for damage control. I haven't had a single bite, and blame you. Need to make room to Taillon. Of course, if someone would like to acquire Taillon I'm all ears.
  9. If you are paying Roark throw him out there when the game is out of reach, abuse his arm to the max Pearson closer to 100 innings IMO
  10. Ryu - Pearson - Richards (?) - Sugano - Ray would be fine with Stripling, Roark and ? for depth, given the power of the offence.
  11. Kim and Sugano only cost money, which the Jays have plenty of. Optimistic the Jays get at least 1.
  12. Spanky is right, Alomar was incredible defensively at least through his peak years. I've never seen a 2B turn a double play as well as he did, with every relay to 1B dead on the money. And he could range deep into the hole even past 2B or to the 1B side and make an acrobatic throw for an out. Basically with Olerud (not the above poster) at 1B and Alomar at 2B, anything hit on the ground towards RF was invariably an out.

  14. I know you did, and waiting for your offer.
  15. 28 and 25 yrs old, respectively worth a later round pick for a rebuilding team
  16. yarbrough and alvarado available for 2022 pick
  17. FWIW, fangraphs has Biggio speed at 45, and Ha-Seong Kim at 60. If Jays are in on Kim, he's a bonafide CF solution IMO.
  18. On 6., all unowned players. So I can grab Tork on January 1, 00:00:01?
  19. Cleveland Beggars is a good fit, but might offend some.
  20. High priced pitchers, yuck. Lower risk way to field a winning team is a high end offense and a rotation of average'ish pitchers.
  21. Elvis Luciano DWL note from prospectslive: Another bright spot was young RHP Elvis Luciano, who shut down the Tigres, with 4.0 scoreless innings, 3 walks, and 5 strikeouts. He is an intriguing young prospect for the Toronto Blue Jays, and it will be interesting to see if he can carry over his success in the Dominican Winter League to Spring Training.
  22. Is Bowden reliable? Seems far fetched.
  23. There is a price point where a deal makes sense, it's not a binary proposition. The FO is going to have a good handle on projecting Groshans having watched him against MLB calibre talent for 3-4 months. Trust in Atkins / Shapiro.
  24. Angels probably wanna upgrade on Stassi. Their primary likely Bauer though.
  25. Maybe, but on the other hand some hitters just do better in certain parks, same as pitchers. Launch angle, how the ball carries, hit distribution, park dimensions, etc. It's probably a combination of the two. Arenado has the same pronounced home/away split.
