    Yes, the No. 1 option is trade, ideally with d'backs. If that falls through, I expect Jays will sign one of the FA OF in short order.

    Using the more less volatile time interval of the last 4 seasons is more accurate. 2021 was Teoscar's career year. Last 4 years 9.5 WAR in 449 games = 3.2 WAR / yr. He's Steamer projected for 2.1 WAR in 2023 based on his history and aging curves. Realistically Teoscar will fall between 2 and 3 WAR in 2023.

    RIP Borje So many myself included tuned into every Leafs game to watch this incredible superstar player. 40 minutes a game, game in game out. Seems he went out on his own terms, rather than be subject to the ravages of ALS.

    Bro. Seattle had pieces they considered surplus that Toronto had a need for. You have to look at these things from the both sides' perspective.

    On the other hand, if you can't afford to resign Teo, you trade him now when replacement options are more widely available, and not at the trade deadline when you are a contender and finding a suitable replacement is harder. And who knows, maybe Teo is the Jays starting RF in April 2024, and Macko is in the rotation.
