  1. BA now has Yesavage as #5 prospect, behind Griffin, McGonigle, Wetherholt, and Basallo.
  2. Santander doesn't get moved this off-season. How would it feel to eat some money to move him, and he hits 40 HR somewhere. If he sucks next season and the Jays are contending, he gets moved then.
  3. This time last year Gallen would get ranked ahead of Suarez. A good buy low option who has the stuff and control to bounce back. He was better in the 2nd half but not to where he was from 2022 to 2024 as one of the best SP in MLB. Gallen is young enough to get back to his former level as a front end starter, and sustain it for a few years. Bassitt is old, might have a dead cat bounce in him. Unlikely. And for the record, I have no shares.
  4. Im not on his nuts. Framber, Ranger, or Gallen suit me fine. In that order given that the 1st two have high groundball rates and the Jays have elite IF defense. Capisce?
  5. Woodruff far below Gallen.
  6. Not much in the org for position player depth. Loperfido, Schreck, Kasevich, Clase. Clase is out of options and Kasevich is R5 eligible. Lukes is unlikely to be moved.
  7. Some team will offer him the SS job. I rather doubt he comes back to TO to be the 2B.
  8. IMO, the best FA fits for the Jays are Bregman and 1 of Woodruff/Gallen. It would mean good bye to Bichette. Bregman puts Barger in RF, and gives the team crazy good defense with the sole exception of Santander in LF. edit - actually the top free agent SP in terms of GB rate are Valdez and Suarez. With an IF defense of Vlad, Ernie, Gim, and Bregman, I'd be targetting those guys.
  9. Yes it was, not a pitch to swing at in a 3-0 count. I'm not getting on Vlad's case, just pointing out another of a long list of plays that would have changed the game in the Jays favour.
  10. Nah, what happens is the Jays have the bases loaded with NO outs. Sure he almost hit it out, just like many players almost hit one out every game. Still a bad swing decision.
  11. I'm well aware of that. Don't assume I don't. Do you understand the meaning of "in all likelihood"?
  12. Imanaga might be one of those pitchers that gets easier to hit, the more times you see him. He started off in MLB good, but progressively worse since.
  13. Maybe, but they have a glut of pitching. They'd move him for a reasonable offer.
  14. Elite, ace upside. Are you a real fan?
  15. Nah, Jays aren't in the WS without him. But for $500M, don't swing at ball 4 on a 3-0 count!
  16. Jays player development group has been quite good, particularly on the pitching side. Think the group can fix Bobby Miller?
  17. It was outside by 3" or so. When it's a 3-0 count, you should only swing at centre cut meatballs. MLB on FOX (@mlbonfox) • Instagram reel WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s performance in Game 7 was a highlight reel of exceptional hitting, with key moments that showcased his skill, strategy, and determination. 18. I keep going back to Vlad swinging at ball 4 in a 3-0 count to lead off the bottom of the 9th. He takes that pitch, Jays win (in all likelihood). Just a terrible swing decision at a critical moment. Maybe part of the reason he was crying in the dugout long after the other players had left.
  19. Also the org with the highest rate of pitcher injuries. Im confident saying that without looking it up
  20. Makes sense for the Rockies to pursue Skubal given where they are on the won curve. Always get pitching first, then the bats.
  21. Every spring better players with options get assigned to AAA because the team doesn't want to lose players without options for nothing.
  22. He has options. Would be first one up when the inevitable injury or suckage occurs. Need to manage assets to maximum effectiveness.
  23. I'd be fine with Bassitt as the 5th starter, and use Lauer out of the BP instead
  24. 8/240 is the BA prediction Adding a couple of player opt outs could lower the total value
  25. Re-sign Bo if he agrees to be the 2B. That puts Barger in the OF and Ernie at 3B. Santander / Lukes can platoon. Re-sign Bassitt as an RP, stick Fish in Buffalo. Sign Gallen as SP3. Gausman, Yesavage, Gallen, Berrios, Lauer, with Francis in Buffalo is fine to start off.
