    I want to keep the youth, especially the 3 rumoured here since 2 of them are at AA and the 3rd (Pompey) arguably should be promoted to AA. Should've spent the money in the off season...

    I don't even know what the issue is here. The Jays obviously liked Beede since they drafted him, but he didn't sign, for whatever reason. They got a compensation pick for not signing him and made another good pick by taking Stroman. The real issue should be why they took Davis ahead of Stroman, lol.

    Hey, in the offseason, the Cubs wanted Sanchez/Stroman and Hutchison +, I guess they've lowered their demands.

    I'd rather get a legit 2B/SS and guy like McCarthy than give up Sanchez, Norris and Pompey. This seems legit though as AA went to watch Sanchez and Pompey play.

    Yeah, but Beede didn't want to sign. The issue is that they turned that pick into Stroman. Beede also got an education so good for him.

    Yeah, but some guy kept saying how his ST numbers plus his struggles out of the BP (6IP) meant that he sucked....can't remember who.

    I'd have no problem if the arm was mature and he had thrown 100 pitches in several games, but it hasn't happened. He also threw 90+ pitches in less than 4IP in his previous start. Anyway, agree to disagree!

    Great start by Stroman, but don't agree with letting him throw 110 pitches. Much the same way I didn't agree with letting Hutchison throw 110 at Philly earlier in the year. Anyway, we'll see what happens.

    I was looking forward to this year because of the prospects of watching Stroman, Hutchison and possibly Nolin in the rotation by June/July, it's come much earlier. Nolin's been injured for a good part of the 1st half, but 2 out of 3 ain't bad. This is huge for the organization.
