  1. I said it before, Gose should've come into the game to play RF and Pillar moved to LF to start this inning, anyway....
  2. I'm not one to bash managers, but Gibbons is sleeping at the helm, WTF.
  3. Reyes is just a big disaster, the entire team can see it, but it is what it is.
  4. He shouldn't have faced Ellsbury. Plus, Gose should've come in to play RF and Pillar should've moved to LF to start the inning.
  5. How do you not bring in Loup here. I guess yesterday was a tighter game. Unbelievable Gibbons.
  6. 2nd time I mention it, but why isn't Gose in RF and Pillar in LF already?
  7. Final line: 5.2 IP, 3H, 1ER, 3BB, 10K.
  8. Does Pillar catch that ball hit by McCann instead of Cabrera? Hindsight is a bitch, but I wonder.
  9. What about Pillar's splits, shouldn't they count Gibby? Anyway whatever...
  10. As far as Murphy goes, I hate trading for players having career years or at peak value. He's also controllable for only 1 more year so I'd pass thank you very much.
  11. Front end guy will cost a lot. As I said, improve the rotation with McCarthy and the overall roster by buying low on a middle infielder. A RHB would also be great, but it might be too much to do in one month or so.
  12. Go for a McCarthy type, a 2B/SS buy low (Everth Cabrera maybe) and go hard in the off season after a Lester or Masterson.
  13. I think we all want to see how he does at AA, but it's not just fans here who are excited about him, people who follow prospects for a living think he's very underrated and legit. We'll see what happens.
  14. They tried to sign Anibal Sanchez. Remember to look at the starting rotation at the end of 2012 after Romero's implosion. The team would've gone into 2013 expected to lose 90 games instead of being expected to contend and this matters to the owners of this franchise. It is what it is, they're in the thick of the P/O race with an improving farm system, they're trying to balance competing now with having a solid farm system. Not that I agree with everything they've done, but this franchise just doesn't do long-term rebuilds.
  15. Started to break out in 2013 at Lansing, IMO. I do want to see him at AA soon.
  16. We'll see at the end of the season when the new lists come out, but Norris will be close, especially if he continues to pitch well at AA. However, when you add Pompey to the mix, who has arguably move up into the top 100, you're giving up a nice package. Shark is also gonna be a FA in 1.5 seasons and has no interest in signing an extension. I wouldn't have made the Dickey trade either so...
  17. Yup, he should overpay for an AL pitcher instead....
  18. You could argue Hoffman next year would replace one of them, but the fact that Sanchez and Norris are at AA or above makes it more difficult to be replaced as the next waive of arms in the system is in the lower minors. Like several keep saying, should've spent/overspent in the off season to avoid having to further weaken the farm system. The system is actually poised to get a nice influx of talent with Hoffman, Pentecost and Sean Reid-Foley drafted earlier this month, but dealing away the guys at the upper levels would be a big blow.
  19. Yup. I'd rather go for a cheaper SP and a solid 2b/SS acquisition, but we've been saying this since last year.
  20. No thanks, in Morrow we trust!
  21. I'm sure they liked StroShow quite a bit too though. Gotta give them credit, it's the way it works. Agreed on Davis, but maybe they also wanted to save money there to throw it at later round picks.
