  1. The opposite seems to be true about their 1B: 70s: Ron Fairly (2.0 fWAR) 80s: Fred McGriff (14.3 fWAR) 90s: John Olerud (23.0 fWAR) 00s: Carlos Delgado (23.3 fWAR) 10s: Edwin Encarnacion (23.1 fWAR) Hot damn!
  2. Best Jays catchers by decade: 70s: Alan Ashby (2.2 fWAR) 80s: Ernie Whitt (22.0 fWAR) 90s: Pat Borders (4.2 fWAR) 00s: Gregg Zaun (8.1 fWAR) 10s: Russell Martin (11.3 fWAR) The Jays never really had an elite catcher on their team (Martin possibly being the exception). Whitt was good, but I think Martin was better in his 4 years here.
  3. Yup. Liked his reports and thought the Jays gave up too much for who was, at the time, a meh utility player. I'm glad to be wrong about that one.
  4. I'm find with being wrong about the trade. I was wrong about the Bautista trade, for example.

Gardiner signs with the Canes for 4 years at an AAV of $4.05M. Meanwhile, Ceci gets a $4.5M AAV as an RFA. This league is dumb.
  7. Who is the most underrated player in baseball? Anthony Rendon is high on my list.
  8. Zeuch doesn't scream MLB starter based off of his MiLB numbers. He's got a good GB%, but the game has shifted towards favoring high K% pitchers (with reasonable to low BB%). Kay is a better bet, IMO.
  9. I am interested in Gonzalez. Not bad for Sogard.

  15. Looks like I'm going to my first Jays game this season tonight. Hope they win!
  16. I'm fine with this. I heard that David Paulino was DFA'd to make space. What happened there?
  17. They may not have wanted to draft Bichette initially. However, listening to your scouts and doing it anyway is a sign of good management, no?
  18. SWR ranked 9th (47 FV, which is odd), Kay ranked 12th (45 FV), Hatch ranked 21st (40 FV), Stevenson ranked 29th (35+ FV), and Johnston ranked 37th (35 FV). Fisher unranked. Descriptions: SWR: Advanced (physically and technically) teenage righty with a chance for three above-average pitches and control. Kay: A lefty into the mid-90s with fringe command, but plus secondary stuff. Hatch: Fastball/slider relief prospect who started throwing a cutter just a few starts before he was traded, which may give him a better chance to start. Stevenson: Speedy, contact-oriented hitter with no clear position. Has beaten up on young pitching thus far. Johnston: Sits 90-94, touches 97, above-average slider. Currently starting.
  19. Technically, we do in 2016, since that team was run by Atkins and Shapiro.
  20. What is Derek Fisher's upside in your mind?
