Wow, he's only in his age-27 season. In his age-21 season he had a 163 wRC+ in 329 PA with no red flags in his profile at AAA. Then he came up and had a 157 wRC+ in the majors with elite 3B defense for 2.6 fWAR in 171 PA the majors. He looked so ridiculously valuable going into his age-22 season. We reasonably thought we had a young superstar on our hands. Then it all fell apart.

Well, he's probably still awful lol. But sitting upper 90's with 9 Ks and 0 walks in 5 IP is a bit more optimism than there was a week ago.

It probably says good things about things about the forum that people's idea of bold predictions are things that are unlikely to happen, but still in the range of outcomes that can reasonably be expected.

Nah. Gatineau is a lot like Montreal in that you don't really have the conservative Francophone types. I know a lot of people who live there and don't speak French.

If you're into clubbing or the music scene you'll find it boring. Aside from that, it's a great place to live. Very few complaints from me.

There's no way Lacava had much of a say as to whether or not Price was retained. Mark Shapiro was President, and there was no chance of him signing off on a 217M contract for Price. -
I think he's pretty much been cheating his way to success for years, and that annoys me.

Price out long term is bad for baseball, but this is exactly why you don't sign pitchers to massive long-term contracts.
