  1. Interested in seeing how this goes.
  2. Thank f***ing Christ there’s no JPA on my TV
  3. I was looking at this: http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/history/managers.jsp Looks like they stopped updating after 2015.
  4. I wonder if John Gibbons can catch Cito Gaston for the franchise's all-time wins and games managed records? He's currently 555-541. That puts him 632 games and 337 wins behind Gaston. He needs to last another 4 seasons.
  5. I can't wait for Gibby to take his rightful place on the Level of Excellence. Blue Jays legend.
  6. Amateurs. I booked this off back in January so this wouldn't happen.
  7. My heart really isn't in it TBH
  8. Yeah, pretty much.
  9. Two days until baseball. Anyone else take Thursday off?
  10. Greg Bird sucks lol
  11. I don't know if I buy it, so I picked up a single share this offseason just in case.
  12. Statcast darling
  13. That argument is so incredibly stupid and sloppy that Fangraphs should be ashamed of publishing it. For the odd pitcher who gets by in the majors at 85, there are literally tens of thousands of men who throw 85 and would get destroyed. To succeed at that velo you need elite secondary skills: a great breaking ball or change, as well as deception and probably pinpoint command. What’s the probability that the hypothetical woman who can throw 85 ALSO have Kyle Hendricks’ command or Ziegler’s deceptiveness and breaking ball? It takes thousands and thousands of 85 mph men to find 1-2 with the right secondary stuff to succeed. The first woman to throw 85 will almost certainly not have these other elite skills.
  14. GROUNDBREAKING RESEARCH (we just can't show it to you) Is there a woman on earth with a good enough arm to throw out an average MLB runner at 2B?
  15. D'Backs extend Ketel Marte for 5 years + two team options.
  16. Every time you use the term soy boy I want to strike you.
  17. lol, I can't even imagine the rage
  18. I really believe that if a woman ever earns a place in the majors, she’d be almost universally celebrated. I think that arguing that capable women should be excluded is and and will continue to be a fringe opinion.
  19. I don’t actually think she’s trans though. Sheryl Ring is a trans woman, and I haven’t seen anyone misgender her.
  20. I'm really warming on the Phillies. Santana, Hoskins, Hernandez, and Herrera are all fine starters, with Hoskins possibly being elite. Throw in MLB ready young talent like Crawford, Altherr, Williams, Kingery, Quinn, (Franco?) and it's easy to see them competing if a few of these high-upside guys push. I liked the Arrieta signing, because it adds depth to the rotation in a year where it could very easily matter.
  21. It's so f***ing bizarre watching this play out. It's legitimate shock on their end that someone with a high victim status, and who attacks the right group of people, is actually being called out for saying ridiculous things. Talk about an echo chamber.
