  1. It's a good lesson to understand, especially come draft day. The mass scouting reports are either embellishments, under-selling, or as it appears here or flat out wrong. They/us really know nothing. Some people on the board need to know that prior to losing their s*** like they did last year after the Jays drafted Groshans.
  2. So I don't get it, does the free insult allow people to insult you without a retort?
  3. Damn, even though I've been in the loop since his career started, Kershaw has had such a ridiculously dominating career.
  4. Banning the shift sounds like an awful idea, but I'd imagine that players with high exit velo will begin to correlate with a higher wRC+
  5. Not sure how much Goldshmidt's gonna get back in return with just one year left.
  6. This would be a very, very dumb idea.
  7. TBH I rarely trust defensive scouting reports anymore.
  8. Just like every other decision Buck Showalter makes, it's f***ing dumn.
  9. The Leafs are playing like pure garbage tonight. They're lucky it's only tied.
  10. Probably cause the crowd is so dejected.
  11. I'm sure the Yankees couldn't care less.
  12. Freddie Van Vleet had the game of his life.
  13. Luis Rivera Luis Rivera Luis Rivera Luis Rivera Oh f*** no.
  14. I'd only ever trust this from someone like you, but you need to post a link....like now, guy.
  15. If someone ate that for a regular lunch it would be fine. For a thanksgiving meal it is an atrocity.
  16. Personally I'm ok with guys not running full sprint out of the box. I get running hard down the line if you suck, but I don't think you want your star players increasing their injury risk just on the off chance a fielder absolutely botches a routine play.
  17. I guess the Mariners have fallen back on their quota of piss-poor corner position players. What happens when two dumn front offices collide?
  18. It's copy-paste PR. The minor league drug program is a farce anyway
  19. Couldn't land arguably the best pitching prospect in baseball, so the Mariners take a major downgrade. I don't get it.
  20. Sheffield is a non-elite pitching prospect. He is by far the best player going to the Mariners. Paxton is an ace. It's an awful deal for the Mariners.
  21. I would be so depressed if I was a Mariners fan. What a joke of a return.
  22. Sure, but's not worth giving up a league average utility infielder with 4 years of control. As nearly every poster in this thread has already stated.
  23. Losing Diaz in the grand scheme of things might not be a huge deal in terms of talent, but this seems like really poor asset management from a depth perspective. I guess the Jays are planning to use Thornton next year like the Rays used Yarbrough.
  24. They're gonna want Vlad and they probably won't budge from that.
