    Yup. Trade Janssen for max value other teams are willing to pay, not just what we value him at. A solid closer at only $4M is a really strong trade chip.

    I think most here can agree that AA won't hold back emptying the farm if that's what it takes. Considering it doesn't appear he is in on any key FA right now, he is probably extremely likely to make a significant trade at some point this winter.

    Since this is such a hot topic with everyone expecting AA to further gut the farm, where do we rank if one of Stroman/Sanchez and Nolin are traded? Seems like those are obvious players names that will come up in trade discussions as well as a few others. Do we fall to bottom 5?

    It will be Sanchez not Stroman.

    It is possible and he needs to go. Extracting value is important but it doesn't work with every player. JP is just not worth it. This team could be 2-3 wins better just by non tendering JP and spending his salary on a lower tier catcher. Now that's getting value.

    Yeah, I don't want to limit people too much but when obvious threads pop up that really don't need their own thread, it can just be merged into this one.

    I'm going to just start merging threads here like random trade ideas. Unless it's an actual reported trade or legitimate speculation (ie. reported from some reasonably credible source) or an actual baseball topic I don't think we need a thread for every random thought that pops into people head.

    Good riddance. As much as I think JJ is going to bounce back, this rotation needs a durable innings eater more than anything.

    I still think it will be higher than 150 when it's all said and done, probably closer to 160, but it's all just speculation anyways.
